Can the same general strategy be used for both?

Moving to PLO8 from LO8 is a bit like starting to ride a motorbike when you have only ever driven a car.

You know some useful stuff - rules of the road etc - but there is awhole set of other skills that you need to acquire or you will get yourself into a lot of trouble! However, once you have learnt these, your new life can be much more exhilariting, and you will also be a better car driver (playing PLO8 has done more to improve my LO8 play than anything - especially tournaments).

Where's the best advice then for PLO8?

I'll petition just as several other fcpers have, I think a 25PLO8 experiement would be great smash, but I think that's just wishful thinking.
