I have hardly ever seen it, and it's not talked about much in SS2 (my only Omaha resource).

I only like it when I'm oop with a crazy strong hand against an aggressive player. Pretty standard, I think. Going for a c/r in plo generally just costs you bets or sometimes, pots.
I'll occasionally (rarely) make this play on a bluff against a weak opponent as well. Again, standard.

This is because the guy out of position, who would be checking, can almost never be correct not betting if he has a strong hand.
If you do check, and get action, you better be sitting on something rock solid like quads to C/R against most players.
