This situation came up in my first orbit at the table, so I have no read on the villain. What are you guys doing here?

PRE-FLOP

Hero is on the button with QQ.

All fold to villian in CO, who limps.

Hero raises to 2.

SB and BB call.

Villain limp/re-raises to 55 and the Hero has 50.

Tough hand, but I'm folding.

Looks like he limped in the CO, so as not to scare
away callers and only get the blinds if he raised.

If you're not up against AA or KK, I'm thinking
it's AK.

Can't see him making this kind of move with
JJ or lower.

You've only got $2 or so into the pot at this point
and you'll be OOP to him the whole hand.

Position doesn't matter as we'll be all-in. I'm extremely tempted to call here. If our opponent is tricky, he could be pulling this with a wider range than just AK, AA, and AK.

I think the word you're looking for here is 'buffalicious'. It's .25/.50. 'Tricky' doesn't really apply.

Hey, I play .25/.50 NL and consider myself tricky. Actually...nevermind...I probably play pretty straightforward.

right, the non-bison (like yourself) play abc because they realize that bluffing has little value in these games.

Smells like Jacks to me.

meh i havn't playd .25/.50 NL for about 7 months, but when i did i bluffed all the time.

granted this was at UB where you could bluff more...but still...

and all the time..i dunno what that means...but dont get me wrong...i'd def. get caught bluffing my fair share...but it also equaled a lot of small pots...and big ones from time to time whne ppl thought i was "bluffing" again.

but thats how i play NL...i just bet to bet.

You should call.

No one ever moves in with AA.

Good luck.
