No read on Villian.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "stop and go".

i would fold. there not much for him to bet on besides an ace or 7 that he just hit. and he must know that you could easily have an ace with you raising preflop and after the flop.
dimseven
Yeah I folded.

Thought later that it *might* be possible that he was betting a turned flush draw, but he would have been a total donk to call the flop, because if he had a flush draw he wouldn't have had the A and calling that flop with something like Ks-10s is donkish.

stop and go is really a no limit term. in limit, a phrase for calling a bet and leading the next street i hear from a lot of party poker regulars is "donk bet."

and let's be honest, how much more amusing, and therefore better overall, of a name is donk bet?

Not to nitpick here, but stop and go is also a limit term :-)

Example:

On the flop - SB bets, BB calls, CO raises, SB calls, BB calls.
On the turn - SB bets...
SB has pulled a stop and go.

If we change the action:

On the flop - SB check, BB checks, CO bets, SB calls, BB calls.
On the turn - SB bets...
SB has donk-bet.

So in this hand, SB has donk-bet.

Once you fully grasp the meaning of these two terms, you will consitently crush all limit games

Yeah I knew the 1st example was a stop and go... calling the 2nd one a stop and go doesnt make sense... You're not "stopping" the 1st bettor's aggression because he check called.

So Screech, You'd be folding too?
