Party 10/20 6 max, 6 handed, I'm in the BB 90/60 guy to my right. I have 2c2d.
Folded to manic, he raises, I three-bet, he caps, I call.
Flop is 3c4c5d. Caped again.
Turn 6c. He bets, I raise, he three-bets, I.....

call/call.
You have the ass end of both of the draws, and even if he is a maniac they occassionally have a hand. Better to not get into a dick swinging contest when your hand is good but vulnerable.

why would you cap the turn only to call the river?
your either way ahead or drawing dead.

I am thinking to cap the turn to hopefully stop the guy from betting on the river (implying that I have his hand beat). If he does bet the river, I call. It's a semi-bluff that MAY work out. If we just call the turn and call the rier, it costs us the same amount as raising on the turn, UNLESS he does bet out on the river. Then I blew it...lol...I don't know what to do... :?

thats a good theory when your simply raising his turn bet. i don't think it really applies to capping his 3 bet on the turn. even a lag opponent has to have something here to be 3 betting.
i like raising the turn but once he 3 bets i go into call down mode.

I agree...I was first thinking that it wouldn't cost us anything extra, but it may end up costing us one...

jesus christ, I cap the turn and (assuming the river's not a club) I also get as many bets in as possible on the river. this guy has an overpair and is a complete jackass. what happened?

I'm still in shock over the fact that he is 90/60, 90 FUCKING 60, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I call him down after he three bets me, we are likely ahead, but I hate losing lots of bets to maniacs just because we never want to believe them

Holdem's a great game.
Just kidding. River's a K, capped again, he has K4o.
He leaves after the hand
