$5/$10 omaha hi/lo, eight-handed

i'm MP with A icon_suit_diamond.gif 6 icon_suit_heart.gif 3 icon_suit_club.gif 2 icon_suit_spade.gif .
i open-limp, button raises, button calls, BB calls.

button's stats over 40 hands (he's clearly VL/A-P):
VP$IP - 90%
PFR% - 48%
PAF - 0.79

(9 SB) Q icon_suit_club.gif 7 icon_suit_diamond.gif 6 icon_suit_spade.gif
BB checks, i bet, button raises, BB folds, i call.

(6 BB) 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif
i check, button bets, i call.

(8 BB) K icon_suit_diamond.gif
i check, button bets, i fold.

i was unsure between a checkraise on the flop and just leading out.

the main thing was, the button wasn't aggressive at all postflop, so i wasn't sure he'd bet if i checked, and i felt that missing out on bets here would pass up on too much of equity.

also, i wasn't sure if i minded the raise as it increased the chances of my high holding up heads-up and improved the chances i could scoop or 3/4. so if i bet and the button raised, i promoted my high.

but the low didn't get there, and i just couldn't imagine him betting on the river with anything that i could beat. again, he was passive postflop, so it wasn't a tough decision to fold the river at all, but i'm mainly wondering about my flop play.

I fold this flop.

Good luck.

with the nut low draw + counterfeit protection + a pair against a guy with 90% VP$IP and 50% PFR?

Seriously.

Him playing junk doesn't mean he's not ahead on this flop. I think he is most of the time. I'm not intrested in teaching him a lesson, I want him to see me fold a lot of flops and to continue to bet into me.

By calling this raise and the turn bet you gave him a scoop of an 8BB pot.

Why?

The limit games I play aer full of this type of player. They pay you off when you have good scooping chances, don't pay them off when you don't.

There are a lot of good flops for you hand heads up, this isn't one of them.

Fold the flop. You are chasing half the pot only, doesn't seem worth it... 8)

Sometimes you forget the basics/goals of playing O8 when you are against maniacs.

You need to remind yourself on how to play against maniacs.
