$5/$10 omaha hi/lo, ten-handed

i'm CO with A icon_suit_heart.gif J icon_suit_spade.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif 2 icon_suit_spade.gif .
five of the six players in front of me limp, i RAISE, button folds, SB cold-calls, BB calls, and all five limpers call.

(16 SB) J icon_suit_club.gif J icon_suit_diamond.gif 4 icon_suit_club.gif
SB checks, BB bets.

(15 BB) 3 icon_suit_spade.gif
SB checks, BB bets, SB calls.

(19 BB) 9 icon_suit_heart.gif
SB checks, BB pauses and checks, other guy checks, i'm closing the action...

honestly, is this a value bet or would that just be stupid?

i really did consider that. i know trips suck in this game, but with the backdoor nut low to go along with it, i thought i should at least see a turn in this huge pot.

so, i figured it was kinda close between raising/calling, mainly raising for value with all those calls in there (most likely backdoor low draws and flush draws).

does your decision change if the middle jack is a heart? (we'd have a backdoor nut flush draw to go along with it.)

can you elaborate a little more?

ok, in short, what i meant to emphasize was: big pot.

Hmm, not really.

How often is the nut flush good on a paired board with this many people in?

Call the turn, obviously, check behind on the end. If you win it, be real happy.

Looked to me like BB had pocket 4's or a jack the way it played, AND/OR the nut low draw. When the low didn't hit, BB didn't bet, so it appears that they had the low draw to me.

I don't see there being any value in a bet on the river there. Check. 8)

ok, so the river is a clear check, right?

i actually checked mostly figuring that BB flopped a full house which was the nuts (J-4), and it was still the nuts on the turn, but the overcard on the river made a higher full house possible so he suddenly pussied out.

anyway, yeah i won the pot. BB was betting/raising with K-J-10-8 or something like that.

so the flop is the only hazy part. i really hated folding in such a huge pot, though. is it close, or would you say folding that flop is by far the best decision?

When did you consider folding on the flop? You raised that suckah. I am not sure folding was an option, with your backdoor nut-low draw to go with your hand... :?
