Just got PT & gametime+ today; I'm in love.
How do you "scout" out tables? The only way I know is to sit, play a hand, and then view a player at the table as you normally and wait for a valid table VPIP, etc. %. Is there any way to do this without actually sitting and playing a hand?
Also, what constitute "valid" stats? How many hands do you need to determine a good estimate at someone's true tendencies?

If you want to scout without sitting, just open up a few tables and start autoimporting. After a while, add the open tables to game time + by selecting one of the players sitting at the table, and you'll see the stats for the players.
I've found that at 1/2, sitting and scouting works pretty well, since you're likely to end up at a bad table anyway. Just get up if the table is tight.

What are your definitions for "good" and "bad" tables? Certain VP$IP threshold?

Also, I'm still confused about this autoimporting thing. I know how to turn it on & stuff, but I thought it only imported your hand histories (i.e., hands that you played in). How do you set it up to just view a table?

I don't have an exact threshold for VP$IP, but if you have the chance to steal blinds every few orbits, then leave.

auto-importing observed hands only works on party. stars and the rest don't auto-import observed hand histories.
