PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with [Th], [As]. MP posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls.

Flop: (8 SB) [Qc], [Jh], [Qd] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (4 BB) [Jc] (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, MP calls, Hero folds.

Should I have fired on this flop or is taking the free card fine here? I believe folding the turn is a given.

No reads, just sat down a few hands ago.

I dont like the preflop raise with ATo...but if i raised it i'd probably fire a shot at the flop...if i get a few callers, or raised i give up and check/fold the turn without improvement.

I think you played it well though, IMO

ATo 5 handed on the button.........raise that everytime if no one else has

I dont think Id lead out, maybe I would to try to get a free card on 4th, but no reason a J would call, a Q would. No point in betting

good turn fold

Why raise preflop if you aren't going to take advantage of your position by firing away at the flop?

If you are raised...fold. If anyone bets the turn...fold.

But you need to give yourself a chance to win by betting the flop. Otherwise you are just giving up, which is ok sometimes but not here.

some of you guys play waaaay too tight. Gambool! (in reference to NOT raising ATo on the button).

I would bet this flop.

I can't think of any scenario where I don't raise preflop from the button in a 5 handed game (if limped or folded to me).

You could make a case for betting the flop.

I'm not even completely sold on the turn fold, but I think I would still do it (especially after the flop check). You have position on the river if sb decides to bet again. Ace could be good here. Still, I lean toward fold.

*Edit - Hey someone agrees with me!
