Alright guys...for any of you that know me, I barely play long handed limit hold em'. With that being said..how could I have played this better?

10 handed 5/10 on powerplayer/pokerroom/betonbet

When I had sat table was loosey but as it filled it got pretty tight. I was getting ready to leave cause it was so tight when I finally picked up 10s in MP.

Limpers were scare normally but in this pot I had 2 limpers too me. I decided to also limp in and two more came in behind. Most people were raising only big aces and pairs, not really any (maybe 1) ATMs at the table.

UTG+2 limips, MP1 limps, fold, I limp, ..., co limps button limps, sb completes, bb checks.

FLOP 8 icon_suit_club.gif 6 icon_suit_club.gif x

sb check, bb check, UTG+2 bets, MP1 raises, I 3-bet, sb caps..?, bb fold, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls all in.

TURN J icon_suit_heart.gif

sb checks, UTG+2 checks, Mp1 (allin), I bet, sb calls, UTG+2 calls

RIVER 4 icon_suit_diamond.gif

sb checks, UTG+2 checks, Mp1 (allin), I check.

I decided to check after about half my time bank cause I really didn't see a worse hand calling here. I really did want to value bet but my table had been so passive I wasn't sure if it would be right to bet with my current opponents.

I thought the turn checks were fishy, it seemed like both were on a sort of draw and that is why I bet when checked to.

Anyone hate the river check here? This was one of the bigger pots at this table, about 11 bb at the end total.

Should I be raising my 10s here when I can easily believe I'm far ahead of the limpers?

Jordan: Some thoughts:

1. Which 10's did you have? A club would have been nice.

2. Raise PF

3. I'm not sure I like the flop three-bet. I think if you had raised PF the flop might play out differently. I might just call the raise. It's close I think.

4. The SB check/capped... he's either nutz, or he's got them. Especially with your depiction of the table

5. I dunno how I play this turn when the SB checks. It is beyond me what hand will check/cap the flop and checks the turn without the intention of check/raising again. This might be a very rare case where I might check behind with position and take the card.

6. But, if it's checked to me again, I'll bet the river.

thx.

1 - i did have a club.

2 - alright. (damn my inxperience FH)

3- the mp1 was a fish, and the UTG+1 i thought was prob betting TP or a flush draw. when he called the cap I put him on either of those.

4/5- yea, that confused me, and a little more when he checkd the turn. I thought if he c/r me on the turn I'd let it go, but I wanted to bet what I thought could of been one of those donk caps with a flush draw. i hadn't seen it yet at this table..but when the pots got big some weird plays were made..hard to explain.

6- i was close to betting the river. i think i would have had mp1 still been in the pot. i wasn't sure though if i was going to get paid off by a worse hand or only called by one that beat me. i still think i coulda bet the river here...but i took the easy way out. the way i looked at it..no draws realistically got there (5/7 doubtful) but i do think TP woulda paid it off...so perhaps i still shoulda/coulda bet.
at this time though i just didn't really think I had to bet the river..
