I sat down with 60$ against sum1 with 100$ playing 0.5/1 omaha hi lo. He raised every time PF the pot and I wasnt sure what to do. I called a few times missed the flop and hed bet pot again and id fold. This super aggressive system worked till iwas down to 30$ and then i realised i was being run over. so i started to limp with a2 then reraise pot or weaker hands and he folded a few times i won a few pots. Then i got bet out a lot more. Until i had 44xx flop was 993 and he bet 6 AGAIN on flop so i thought go allin for my remaining 16$ he calls with 3kxx so i have him beat he hits backdoor flush on river. Im out so what did i do wrong? I wish i could sit down with this guy again and win my money back also he had 151$ after cleaning me out so 9$ was lost in rake do you think that is too much and would you advise o 8 or better heads up. This was my first o 8 or better heads up game and i am not that experienced anyway at the game. What would explain this loss despite the bad beat on river I got outplayed but imo he was probably fish because he said afterwards that every hand is good preflop. I f I would have adjusted to his aggression earlier I reckon i cud have broken him.

Adjust or just get up and find another table. You weren't contractually obligated to play him, were you?

I woulda prob left when you felt you were being run over. This sounds wierd, but calling more liberally might soften him up.

Regardless of the type of poker game you are playing, by betting out every hand, you will have the best of it unless your opponent adjusts to the play. You failed to adjust to his play in the best manner, allowing him to run you over. I recomend you read some Sklansky on heads-up play (Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players goes into this topic in depth, and even though it is a different poker game, the concept is the same). 8)
