KC in KC
While playing a live mtt yesterday I got dealt Jacks in mp. There were 3 limpers then the chip leader at the table (about 3-1 to me) moves all in. He gets one caller by the player to my right. I fold the jacks. Another player calls in the bb. There is 3 players all in so I felt pretty good about the fold until the chip leader shows A,J offsuit and the two other were K,Q & A,10. Needless to say the Jacks would have held up. With the all in by the chip leader and one caller before it got to me was I correct to assume the Jacks were no good any more? The chip leader was getting cards and the first caller was extremely tight. It was early in the tourney with blinds @ $100-$200 and a full table. Any input would be appreciated.[/b]

It being early in the tourney, I'm assuming that your stack was still high compared to the blinds. In that case, I fold the jacks also as two players all-in (and one who was playing tight) before me tells me that I'm probably beat.

I consider jacks more like middle pairs and play them accordingly especially in all-in situations.

Now if it was late in the tourney, and my M (stack size divided by starting pot) was low; then I would consider moving in as well.
