1. i was in the small blind, so it seemed worth it to complete. a hand like this, K-Q-J-9 is definitely playable in PLO, and i play it for one bet in limit O8 as well, but is it playable outside the blinds in PLO8? i assume naturally it is, since plenty of showdowns feature no possible low, and these hands do very well on the high end. plus, unlike middle cards like 6789, they DO have the ability to make the nuts and still scoop the whole pot. is this an okay limp outside the blinds?

2. was my flop play okay? i had a twelve-out wrap draw to the nuts, and only three of those outs made a low possible by showdown (and that had to be runner-runner low at that). unfortunately, there was a diamond draw, but i had that diamond flush draw to the queen (third-nuts usually). i figured if my flush draw wasn't clean, i at least killed two outs for another flush draw. so, i check/called planning to spring to life on a non-diamond card that completed my straight. is this good?

3. so, i springed to life on the turn. standard?

4. river, river, river. was check/calling okay? or should i be check/folding? i just hate check/folding the winner against a bluff. i also hate betting out at all, as a small bet leaves me vulnerable to a bluff-raise while a large bet sucks when i could easily be beat. but heads-up out of position, that just sucks... what's the best line here without a read?

I don't know what the experts might say, but I like these hands, especially with position. Inside the blinds I'm going to play this even for a small raise. High only hands can be very profitable just like limit O8.



I would be more aggressive on the flop (but I'm borderline maniac in PLO). You figure to be even with or ahead of most hands that can bet here.



Nuts are good.



This is definitely the safe play especially online where you aren't going to have a quality read on the player, and the player is a huge factor here. For example if I'm here with a missed something and you bet any less than the pot I'm shelling you full force. Even if you bet the pot and I have a key card or two and a read on your play I'm loading multiple barrels to put you to the test. A check call keeps you from getting outplayed or outplaying yourself and induces a bluff from multiple hands you can beat. Unless you are against a nutfarmer who never bluffs a check call is the way to go.

just want to get some more opinions on the playability of these hands preflop in specifically POT LIMIT omaha hi/lo.

as for the flop, getting more aggressive there is wrong, i'm pretty sure. the two diamonds suck, and if we're up against a set with a diamond draw, we're waaaaaaaay behind. heck, if we HAD the nut straight here, we'd be waaaaaaay behind. that's an omaha nuance not many people are aware of.

the turn seemed standard, but what i'm really wondering about is the river. i think a very strong case can be made for check-folding this. just wondering if check/calling is right or if i should be putting in a blocker bet or just check/folding. some more opinions appreciated.

I would have to lean more towards check/call or bet/fold. I think you give up too much by assuming he has filled up and giving up on the hand with a check/fold. If you were to make that a habit on river scare cards, observant players may pick up on that and exploit it.

What was the result out of curiosity? I'm leaning towards a 2 pair hand that filled based on your comments.
