Right now I am seeing only 16%...u think its a sign of a cold deck or am i being overly tight...I have really been workin preflop to change up my play... I have tightened up and im no longer playing suited connectors and a10 is marginal to me now...I am also not paying to see the turn without a nut flush draw, open ended st or tpgk...am i being to tight or is this normal...

I'll give you my humble opinion, take it for what it's worth...

I'd say you're being a bit too tight, particularly with your requirements to see the turn. There are frequently times when the pot will be offering you the correct odds to see the turn when you have middle pair or worse. You make no mention of continuing with overcards. I hope that doesn't mean you're always folding overcards to a bet.

If you have pokertracker, I would examine your post flop aggression ratings. With this sort of Lee Jones approach it's probably too low. Go back and read SSHE's sections on flop play and the later chapter on playing overcards. It's priceless stuff.

16% in and of itself isn't bad. Mine is about 19.5% after ~20k hands. If you're folding a few potentially profitable hands preflop, that's not the end of the world, but you need to stay aggressive postflop.

Best of luck.

edit: you don't mention how big your sample is, so I really have no idea if you're getting cold decked.

last samplee was over a coupl ehundred recorded hands...but i reset my counter once i felt the cold winds starting to pick up on my deck..so it was probably 4-500 lately...Spent 5 rounds of 10 table folding every hand until i got ak and hit an 8 high flop..so after that it was a bunch of strike outs...i didnt pair ak in 10 trys....kq suited in 10 tries and kings fell to an a2...yeah i won a few hands but thats the jist of my game right now....not lookin for pity just statin the cold deck...

on a humerous note..while slightly on tilt for back to back ak and kq going doing i get krablar...3 bet against 2 donkeys who think 23 suited is a great hand....end up turning trips to get back close to even...of coure i got blinded down a bit more befor ei wised up and left...but krablar was my big hand of the day haha

OK, well a few hundred hands doesn't say much, especially with regards to how often you're hitting flops.

As WRTO said, steal more. This doesn't necessarily mean steal pots preflop. Remember that AK will sometimes be the best hand on the flop even if you don't improve. Also don't underestimate the fold equity that you've bought yourself with that preflop raise. When you miss the flop, examine the texture of the board and act accordingly.

Spent 5 rounds of 10 table folding

I hope you mean that you folded for 5 rounds at a ten handed table. If that's the case, you're folding too many profitable hands. It's nearly impossible that you wouldn't have a playable hand in 5 rounds.
