you cant be too upset with the habs, we did move up about 15 spots in the draft and this years draft is pretty deep, doesnt seem that way with the kid going first but it really is a deep draft, habs are gonna do great!!!!

What about JR? Plus who cares. The times they are a changin. They have the best AHL team that is gonna feed 4 or 5 top of the line players to a team that is one of the strongest in the league. They are certainly one of the favorites to win the cup this year. That isn't really an argument is it?

A team that has so little room under the cap that they're buying out the star players, no money to bring any FA in, and will need to rely on young, unproven players to carry the team? Sure, sounds like a cup contender to me.

Actually, Philly almost has a full roster probably about 7 million dollars to go upgrade. Add Carter (who is going to be awesome) and Richards (who is going to be mediocre) and I would say they are a cup cotender. Especially if they use that extra money to get a real goalie.

However, it dont matter cause the Habs are going to win. Maybe not this year, but in the near future with young stars like Ribeiro and Ryder.

Its an exciting time to be in Pittsburgh. We got the Steelers opening up training camp, the penguins and panthers not far off on the horizon. I already have Panther season tickets I've gone to all but like 2 games over the past 3 years. Penguins wise I haven't been able to make it to as many as I wanted. I prolly went to about 5 games in 03-04 using the student rush program and I hope to be using that stuff again.

Krup - You, should not be posting on this thread as you obviously know nothing about hockey. Roenick would've been the Flyers best player maybe ten years ago. Yes, he was one of their better OFFENSIVE players... but he has been replaced by one of the top 3 players in the league when healthy. The Flyers are stacked, they beefed up their defense. And they have 5 top flight centers in case of injury. (Forsberg, Primeau, Handzus, Fisher, Richards), the last two you haven't heard of yet but soon will.

I am no longer going to engage in unnecessary trashtalking before the season starts, Especially with fair weather hockey fans. We'll let the season play out.
