AQ34ds, not a fantastic hand, but it's a loose table and if I hit my flush I'm likely to get at least $10 out of something as low as the ten high flush. I icon_suit_heart.gif the button.

I flop a monster draw and decide to call the pot bet. The guy who bet out had just taken a big hit ($40 with set under set on a $25PLO table.. ouch) and was being taunted by the guy who took his money. I feel like if I raise, I'll chase out some of the draws I want to be calling and I'll end up heads up against the tilter. On the other side of the coin, I want a big pot so I can extract as much as possible if I do hit my draw.

Would anybody raise at any point in the hand? How about fold on the turn to the .25 bet? Man, I felt like I was beat! laugh.gif

Also, a what-if type question... if bigrudy folds to the .35 bet on the river, can I fold? The pot was 9 and change and it's 35 cents to me.

I'm pretty new to this but I'll tell you what I'd do. if nothing else, this will bump it so Smash or Jackingoffsuit will see it.

Why not raise the flop. Nut low, with good draws? I don't think $2 is going to scare away anybody that just called $1.75

Same with the turn. Why did everybody slow down? Wouldn't an A3XX keep leading hard?

Why are you considering folding the nut low? You said it was loose and your opponent was on tilt. I'd say now is not the time to put him on exactly A3QQ

I would, you've got 18 outs on the flop and you were on the button. No one had real strength with their hands as you can see their flop and turn plays. I would either not raise or I would had raised to the max, $14.

But I am not an expert on PLO, justblaze or smash can give more in-depth opinions.

I love posts like this....I think it's PLO
which denotes that there is NO LOW split,
thus no such thing as nut low....

Well, I'm not the first to misread PLO as PLO8.

And BDC30 isn't the first to make a "strategy free" post in the strategy forum. I love those!

I often worry in PLO about raising without the nuts. I feel like it makes no sense to put money in the pot unless I've already got the nuts, because they're calling regardless. I'm also worried because I'm tight passive/passive to the extreme. It's been very profitable, but I feel like I'm leaving aggression out of my game completely. I don't feel good about that.

I was joking around at having most of the deck give me the nuts and only paying 25 cents to see the river smile.gif As bdc said, it's also PLO, not PLO8.

Saw this and had to add on...

Funny... I've never made one of those posts laugh.gif

I'm finding a raise on the flop. YOu have a massive draw. any icon_suit_club.gif , 6, or A gives you the nuts, and any 3 or 4 gives you a straight also. Your hand is pretty mucha big favorite to anyone else's hand. So you need to make enough of a riase to keep people in, but also to get good value on it, I think a raise of $6 is good value on the flop

PLO8, I just call here, seeing if I can hit that club and trap in the low callers. With this being PLO, I raise, like KDawg, to maybe $6. $8.75 in the pot at the moment, maybe repot. That's an aggro move, and you should expect to be reraised by the tiltingboy. So maybe just $6.
