QUOTE (copernicus)
Most if not all of Caro's tells can be faked..especially by those who read it and know others may be looking for it.
What I like about McKenna's approach is he starts with basic personality types and then talks about the meaning of them acting out of character. This seems a lot less voluntary or fakable then typical body language and "weak=strong" tells.
ditto. i normally use the first 30 minutes of a session to figuring out who the best players are at the table and then throw a few of caro's tells out there when playing a hand with them if i'm maintaining the image that i don't know what im doing. works a lot of the time.
