Hi all,

I've been playing taking poker seriously for the past 2 years. (I don't count my high school and university years back in the late 80s and early 90s as part of my poker education).

Over the past 2 years, I've spent time on:

Phil's book of animals
Super System
Many cardplayer and 2+2 articles
Enjoyed reading comments on this forum and following Smash's $50 to $1000 Pokerstars adventure

From Pokersourceonline, I cashed in some points and started reading Sklansky's "Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players".

All the information has helped tremendously as I have been able to show profit. (Only two $50 deposits were made on Pokerstars - the first when I had no idea what was going on and lost it all. Then I started to read and put in a second deposit and haven't looked back since).

I had spent the past couple of months playing qualifiers for the WSOP and came excruciatingly close (missed out by 2 spots). Now it's time to divert my attention back to ring games and the occasional tournament.

I've noticed that a lot of people swear by Sklansky's SSHE. What I wanted to know is how different it is from the Sklansky book (Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players) that I have right now. Are there fundamental concepts discussed in the SSHE book that isn't covered in what I have, or is there a lot of overlapping information?

It's unfortunate that Chapters/Indigo up here doesn't appear to carry it (otherwise I'd just go to a bookstore and skim through it before making a purchase).

If it is what everyone builds it up to be, I will order it from Amazon.

Thanks!

HEFAP is for games above 10/20 and SSHE is for games below that(I think), could ask this question in the strategy section and get a better answer.
