was EP a maniac?

BB either has KK or a set (QQ/JJ). I don't understand the cap on the turn...from ep unless he has a flush.

I don't think you misplayed it, since you had such a big draw, but the river just sucks cause it really feels like you're beat.

Why didn't you 3 bet the flop? Did you think if you 3 bet you wouldn't get a chance to raise the turn?

I may be thinking negatively though. I ran into a few sets today, and also set over set beats...but I hope with that aggressive betting you're beat UI on the river. Although I don't think you can get away from it at the river.

My reads for now: BB has QQ for set, EP has KK for overpair.

Anyway, I think with a draw to the nuts straight you maybe should 3 bet the flop. With all the turn action, I don't think hand plays any differently.

Pots huge on river, so folding a winner is a disaster. Still, do you think one pair is good 1/10th of the time?

i was debating between three-betting the flop and calling in order to raise the turn.

i decided that there was a strong chance that my hand was best, and i had virtually no draw to worry about (a gutshot for A-K at best, but it was only three outs at most), so i could raise practically any turn besides a queen or king.

it's close between the two. right now, i like three-betting the flop better.

Turn raise sucks.
