CobaltBlue
Bodog 2/4 Limit (8 handed)

Table is playing rather tight. I have a fairly aggressive table image (particularly pre-flop and on the flop). Getting the impression that people really want to play back at me.

Cobalt is SB w/ A icon_suit_spade.gif K icon_suit_spade.gif.

Pre-flop:
4 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, Cobalt raises, BB calls, CO calls

Flop (3 players): 6 icon_suit_spade.gif J icon_suit_spade.gif 2 icon_suit_spade.gif ohmy.gif
Cobalt bets, BB calls, CO folds

Turn (2 players): K icon_suit_club.gif
Cobalt checks, BB bets, BB calls

River (2 players): 8 icon_suit_spade.gif
Cobalt bets, BB calls

Final Pot: 10 BB

Cool going for the check-raise on the turn?

If you're very sure he's going to bet at it, I'm alright with a check/raise. However, I prefer leading out.

If you're for certain they're going to play into you, that sounds right. You have set yourself up with an aggressive table image at a tight table, if he calls the flop, unless he's a calling station, then he's most likely going to play into you on the turn if you check. That may make it look like you tried to steal on the flop, failed, and you are now willing to drop it on the turn.

Heads up, yeah check raising seems okay, but the BB will fold a lot here to a C-R

lead out, then you can probably get a threebet in

Agreed. You almost lost 3BB's here. I like leading out here, theres a good chance he checks behind you and folds to your river bet with that 4th spade, but props to you for knowing your man. Other than that perfectly played, hand worked out great.

Given your impression of the table's impression of you, I like your line. I might just bet out the turn and hope he tries to put a play on me, but either is fine if you're pretty certain he'll come out firing if you check.

You really want to check the nuts in to a player who defended his blind and has shown no aggression?

Bet, hope he improved and 3bets.

Losin a bet on this turn would be absolutely horrible.
