Hello everyone, i am new to the forum but have been reading all of your posts for the past month or so and decided to join. I have been playing b and m casino action for about 6 months now making a good amount of money playing 10-20 and 20-40. I am moving to vegas tomorrow as i will be a student at unlv for the spring semester. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what casinos had solid profitable games that i could regularly play. Also, what size no limit games do they play out in vegas, out here in nor cal i play somewhat often at the lucky chances casino 1k min buy in no limit game. thanks guys for any input you can give.

I'd definitely have to say Bellagio and the Mirage are the places to play, althought I have heard Caesar's and the new Golden Nugget card rooms are happening too. Also MGM has a brand new room [not sure if it opened yet or not] but the limits you are looking to play are definitely at Bellagio and the Mirage as I have played in them before.

As for the NL question I don't know because I have only played in the $500 buy-in NL games in the past, though I am hoping to find out more about the NL games in the next week or so when I visit on the 20th-24th.

alright, thanks for the help. Where is that 500 buy in NL game at that you were talking about. I am a really big fan of NL games in b and m casinos, something about being able to work with all your chips i like alot better than limit betting. thanks agian.

Tek is correct, the Nugget's new card room is excellent, played there this past WSOP. It is located right next to the pool, so bring your trunks as well, you get an hour and a half leeway each time you leave the table.

That way you can play all you want and when a break is needed, go next door and enjoy some sun and water action for an hour, then return to the tables refreshed and ready to roll.

The 500 min buy in NL game at the Nugget was quite lively, lots of action, pots regularly 200 to 1K plus. The guy who helped Binion for years with the WSOP is also there. He has $125 STT buy in tourneys all day long, pays top three spots. It's incredible the type of players in these, they have been watching waaaaaaay to much WPT on the travel channel, lol.

Nugget comps well also, after you have been playing for a few hours go to the secretary of the poker room and tell her you would like a buffet comp and a line pass. The buffet spread is one of the best in LV, and the line pass gives you walk in status, no waiting in line behind 25 old quarter slot players for a seat.

I agree with Tek. I think your best bet is either at the Mirage or the Bellagio. For the limits you are talking, they will offer the best games. I plan on checking out the MGM next week to see if their poker room is operational yet, so I'll let you know when I get back.

thanks for the continuing response. I am going to go into the nugget tomorrow and check out everything. I am moving all of my stuff into the dorms on sunday but after that i am free to check out every cardroom in town. Can anyone list off where some decent sized no limit games are at here in town. I like anywhere from 500-2000 buy in NL games. I for some reason have always made more profits and had more consistency in NL games. I am a big fan of high action 20-40 games as well. Well, thanks for the help so far and anything futher is greatly appreciated.

the mgm room is not open I am staying there now. I think the bellagio has a 10/20 blind blind n/l game and the wynn is gpoing to be great when it opens in april

The bellagio has a 10/20 NL with a min of 600 to buy with no cap

the palms i think is 300-500 (500 is max) with 2/5 blinds and they have at least 3 tables going there and its a must move game.
