So I think I have to bet the river. Anyone think it is stupid?

I don't think you have to bet the river. I doubt that anybody has a flush if they just call the river. Here I would check the river and call most bets made on the river. Too many people would slowplay a flush like that. I like the bets on the flop and turn, but I don't think it is necessary to bet the river.

So I think I have to bet the river

Why?

What's calling you that you beat?

Not sure, but if I check I should probably be calling most bets. What is your line? Check/fold?

If I check, I guess there is a small chance it will be checked around, but I think by betting, I get to pick the size of the bet that I would call and fold to a raise.

Unless the table is normally this passive, why slow down and allow a bluff attempt? 2 pair could be calling, top pair - hell, mid-pair could be calling. I have no quarrels with this bet.

I think check/call is more likely to get a small bet from a K.

Or the flush.

Or a big overbet bluff.

Might get checked around, who knows?

Does a weak flush push all in if you check in this game?

Bigger bet on the flop tells you a lot more and you're still drawing to likely 10 outs if it's raised.

i like check-calling the river, but i think a lot of hands would call him on the river that he has beat. namely, a lot of pairs as well as cautiously-played two pairs.

I wasn't sure how much to bet on the flop being first to act, so I bet the pot.

I rarely play NL online, I was just in this game because there were no good limit tables at the time, so I didn't have a good idea of the table's texture. But I would generally interpret my opponnents' line as drawing to a flush or maybe having a medium hand like two pair.

The BB had K8os, no idea why he stuck around. UTG had QsJs. Don't know why he didn't raise the river. Guess small stakes NL is strange.

Don't know why he didn't raise the river.

Worried about an all in move from Ax I guess.

I could understand if he had a big stack, but a raise by UTG would have basically put him all in. But yeah, I'm sure that is what he was worried about.
