Though you do have the best hand, and it's likely he's got bulls too, do you risk everything on the very first hand of the tourney?

I'm sure I'd call (I'm playing to win, not to survive - doesn't matter to me if it's the first, 20th, or 500th hand of the tourney) - is a person who folds in this situation cautious, gutless, smart or stupid?

Honestly, if they don't like it, ignore it, or don't respond to it. I've grown accustomed to the fact the the Internet consists of an enormous number of people with zero social skills, who like to exact supreme power without fear of retribution. They can waste their time and flame me all they want. I've got better things to do than worry about what anonymous users think about me.

I haven't seen it before, so I'm interested in seeing it once.

This actually happened to me, on the second hand of a mid-sized live tourney. I called two all-ins with the bullets. I went home early. Would I do the same again? Duh, yes, every day and into the night. If you can't make this call, quit poker and take up something less nervewracking, like skydiving.

People who complain about bad beats should quit poker. They're part of the game...you're gonna benefit from them, you're gonna suffer from them...no point worrying about them, getting angry about them, or even remembering them for that matter.

Yes - I fully admit I did not peruse all the previous posts on this board to make sure my question had not been posted before.

Frankly, if I was going to do that with every question/scenario I address, I'd never post, and neither would you or anybody else.

I don't do that on any other message board, and I won't do it here. If I had THAT kind of free time, I 'd be at the casino playing poker, instead of posting when I have a few minutes from my day job.

The fact is, as irritating as my post may have been (and I fully accept that assessment) you, and everyone else, had choices. You read the title of my post which clearly detailed its content (no bait and switch). You CHOSE to click on it, you CHOSE to read it, you CHOSE to be annoyed by it, and you CHOSE to respond to it.


As far as the A-10 hearts - that is what is called "tongue in cheek". It's a basic observation that it is simply the rules that makes A-10 of hearts a great hand, and 2c3d4s9dqh crap. Both hands have the exact same odds of being dealt to you...so it's not like A-10 of hearts is more difficult to achieve.

Anyway, like I said...tongue-in-cheek-in-between-the-lines commentary on the frivolousness of poker.
