Neither. You call and see what the turn brings.

Might let it go or call down.
Probably flip a coin.
Capping's a tough sell with no reads here.

Maybe. Again no reads 4 handed that's a tough decision. A button raise there means he has any two cards.

A 9 or over would be bad.
Undercards would be nice. Another 8 is your favorite card. A 5 would likely be alright as well.
(I'm assuming you've put this guy on a steal. If he would only raise with real good cards, you should've folded preflop.)

There are no god turn cards other than 8.
There are no particularly bad turn cards other than a club.

I disagree. It's not real likely that the villain has a 9, so a 5 is a good card. I agree that undercards may not be good because there's a chance he has an overpair.
Just because there are 2 clubs on the board doesn't mean that the villain has 2 clubs in his hand.

The three-bet on the flop indicates what to you, then?

Hard to say without a read, but these thoughts came to mind:
- Trying to keep control of the hand.
- Thinks overcards are good.
- Overpair
- Underpair
- Caught a piece with Ax.
Depends on the opponent.

So any two cards then.
So what's a good turn card again?
See where I'm going with this yet?

I see where you're going with it - but when I gave him good/bad cards, I was going with what I felt strongest that the villain had.
What was it? Overcards.
