I hate hands like this. MP2 seems slightly loose. Maybe I should check call river. The only things I think he would call me with that I beat are pocket pairs.

Yeah, I'm check-calling the river. There's a chance he'll check behind here - seems pretty passive.

Yup. This is the question you have to ask yourself. "Okay, I know I'm a dog... but am I a bigger dog if I bet or if I check/call? If he'll check behind you with a number of hands you beat (22, 55, 66, 88, 99, pair of threes, pair of sevens, pair of fours, busted King-high club draw, busted straight draw, etc.) AND CALL with them, but not raise, you should be betting. If he checks behind with those hands you're losing a bet every time...

you're a dog here, but you are less of a dog here by betting if he's going to be calling a bet (but not making a bet) with hands you beat.

Any two cards.

Check/calling's better.

If he's checking behind, he was folding his missed draw to your bet. If he missed a draw and you check he bets to try and take it down from another missed draw. If he has cards and you bet, he might raise, he might also raise if he doesn't have cards.

The only time betting is better if he has 99 or something which isn't terribly likely.
