I did that thing again where I put half my br in at the 5/10 table. It was going great until the game got loose, and I got sucked out, anyway I had 2 hands that I was iffy about, maybe you guys can fix them.

These hands happened while the game was tight, 2-3 per flop and a lot of the time there was no river, I think this first hand seems to be the exception though.:

I have QQ UTG

PRE-FLOP
takemycash9 calls, UTG+1 calls, Mp1 calls, MP2calls, Button raises, BB calls, takemycash9 3bets, UTG calls, Mp1 calls, MP2 calls,Button calls, BB calls. (18sb)

I had limp-raised once w/ aces and it didnt go to showdown, the table had been so tight I didnt imagine this happening.

FLOP [board cards 6D,9C,JC ]
first 4 check, MP2 bets, Button calls, BB calls $5, takemycash9 raises, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Button calls, BB calls. (24BB)

ummm, I dont know what I tried here, but im pretty sure it wasnt the right move, at first I thought that I couldnt protect my hand so I planned on check/calling the flop and c/r a safe turn card..anyway this was crap wasnt it? fire away!

TURN [board cards 6D,9C,JC,4S ] (26 BB)
BB checks, takemycash9 bets, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $10, Button folds, BB folds.

gotta bet right?

RIVER [board cards 6D,9C,JC,4S,7H ] (28 BB)
takemycash9 bets,MP2 calls.

safe value bet i guess

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JJ on the button

PRE-FLOP
3 folds,MP1 raises, 2 folds, takemycash9 bets $15, 2 folds, MP1 calls $5. (6 SB)

FLOP [board cards 2S,7S,5H ]
MP1 checks, takemycash9 bets $5, MP1 calls $5. (4 BB)

TURN [board cards 2S,7S,5H,AS ]
MP1 checks, takemycash9 bets $10, MP1 bets $20, takemycash9 folds. (7BB)

SHOWDOWN

good fold ? this guy isnt the tightest of players, but he also isnt a maniac

First hand, this is not the time for FPS. Your hand is too vulnerable bet that flop, and three bet it if someone raises.

I'd be continuing to bet here, Queens are excessively vulnerable

I like how you played hand two, presuming correctly that only a player with an ace is going to raise the turn. No point in wasting 2BB here, unless the player is way out of line

Gettiung 7 to1 it depends a lot if one of your J is a spade or not.

If not, yes it's fine. If so it makes the baby jeasus cry.

Preflop: Limp/three betting sucks with QQ. You let a ton of speculative hands in this way.

Flop: There is no way to protect your hand with any aggressive action here. Might as well lead out at it for value.

Turn: Fine

River: Fine

If you got beat by a garbage two pair, blame your preflop FPS.

I am not sure my match is 100% correct here, but your figures of the pot size on the first hand are incorrect. First, remember the small blind exists in poker. With that I think that the pot has....

Going to the flop - 18.5 SB
Going to the turn - 14.75 BB
Going to the river - 16.75 BB
Final pot - 18.75 BB

I have no idea where you figured this pot has almost 30 BB in it.

I like to punch UTG limp raisers in the face. Right in the fucking nose. Put your dolls away, focus on the game, and raise your third best hand. I can't accept any excuses about being sucked out on when I see weak plays like this.

I am beginning to think you need help.
The raise on the flop is soooooooo i-could-do-it-while-standing-on-my-head-eating-a-tuna-fish-sandwich-while-folding-my-laundry standard.

No I'm just kidding. EASY FOLD ON THE FLOP. No no no, you should JUST call and let even more players see cheap cards, just like your plan was all along pre-flop. because little do they know, you are goin to catch that mighty non club Queen on the turn.

Yes the turn bet is good. You shouldn't be asking.

The river one too. Duh. What are you gonna do, check or open fold when no one has been raising your overpair?

on the second hand.

What suit are your jacks.
If it is the Js, you call.

Oh yeah, your pot sizes are wrong again too.

Yeah... you're just going to out-strategerize yourself with limp-3-betting. Just cap preflop, and bet/raise the flop, turn, and river. If someone else won, they paid to draw at you, and if you won, you won more money that way.

One of the things I love about limit is that it's an objective game for the most part. There are mathematical expectancies for every call, raise, or fold you make... and bet/raising is significantly more profitable with the QQ hand.

yea, sorry the pot sizes are totally miss calculated, just noticed, I did this at 5 am and the converter doesnt work for Pokerroom.

BTW, thanks for the harshness.. I needed that, and I had Jh Jc, so, there was no spade..

thanks again.
