seem to have noticed a lot of marked cards lately. the house explains it as a shuufle master problem, it is so bad that today I discovered a card that was not marked and the floor man came and replaced it with one the normal marked cards, sad but true. This summer at the mirage I noticed the same thing and asked about it. They explained that all the cards are marked and not to worry which was a little disheartning. Is this a shuffle master epidemic or what is going on, and i'm not talking about the little scrapes these are honest to goodness marked cards and why would a big opperation like the mirage use marked cards during a big tourney? Is it really that big of an expense to replace the cards periodically? I'll bet if those same decks resided at the blackjack tables they would be burned in a second. I keep my cards pretty well concealed and have great vision so I figure if I can't figure it out they can't.

what types of markings are you talking about? gashes, or markings on the corners from a marker?

Unless they're marked indicating what's on the other side, who cares?

Please tell me you aren't paranoid enough to think you're losing some sort of equity because someone else at the table has memorized all the marking on individual cards and thus knows what you're holding.

Pretty please.

Call it what you will, the fact remains the same. I would rather play with a new deck. Not sure how old you are smasharoo but I'll let you in on a little secret of mine. I see lots of cards while i"m in the game, sometimes from across the table as the older gentlemen shuffle their cards over each other before they look, unnoticed dealer errors, you name it, I like to think I don't miss a whole lot, parnoid, ya . I 'm paranoid every night when I leave the casino with my pockets filled with cash.
Mr. Knowledge, these cards are marked like they do at the commerce when the cards are not running good for some players I've noticed the very noticable fingernail mark in the center or there about. At the bycycle a dealer explained it to me this way, " we take these cards from the big games and reuse them here, that's why there all marked" o.k. whatever. by therway tknowlege I'd like to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your posts and look forwards to reading more of your insightful input.
