Hey all,
First time poster long time lurker, you know the deal. I was wondering what people thought was the best site to play for an online beginner. I’ve been playing poker for about 5 years now (mostly home games, and some casino experience), but this will be my first online foray since I (mistakenly) blew a couple hundred bucks at Party two years back. This was before I really knew anything substantial about starting hand selection, position, and the like. But now, after reading lots of books, playing lots of hands, and logging at least 75,000 hands on Wilson's TTHE I’m looking to start at the bottom and work my way up. I’m trying to start with .02/.04 or .05/.10 and be able to move up without having to have money in 10 different places.

I realize this is a long process, and I’m quite patient with it all. It’s just hard figuring out which site is subjectively better, so I would appreciate some opinions here. Thanks a bunch, and for what it’s worth, I think this site has a whole lot more personality than 2+2, with the exception of the flaming of course. But I checked, no spelling errors here.

The best site for those kinds of micro-limits would either be Ultimate Bet or Pokerstars. Both have a nice interface, loose games (at that level), and are overall very good sites. Make sure you have 300xBB (big bet) to play the game you want to play - bankroll management is important.

Yeah there's a lot of personality here. It could be worse - we could have Skalansky. wink.gif (sw)

subscribe to a poker school online, prolly the best way for beginners. Play money people play not how they normally would.
