Well, I'm Canadian and I'm so relieved to see Canada finally win a gold again in the world juniors after dominating the tournament in the 90s but getting nothing but silvers in the 21st century. And what a performance it was this year. They completely dominated everyone in the tournament. It almost felt like the tournament was being played in Canada with the amount of fans that were at each of the Canadian's games. They outscored 41-7 in 6 games, possibly the best junior team ever. It's hockey events like these that make me not care that there is no NHL. The world juniors showed the passion and intensity of the game that makes it the best game in the world. Even though I think I may be a little biased, it almost seemed that Canada had an allstar team out there, almost like the harlem globetrotters versus the washington generals. I think all 13 forwards for Canada could've been named allstars this year. The one thing I'm disappointed with was the third period. It was so anti-climatic. Actually, I'm more disappointed with the fact that I predicted a 7-1 win for Canada and that they let up in the third and didn't get the seventh goal

. Oh well, it was still a great performance.

Yeap, last night was an awesome performance and fitting too seeing how they were predicted to dominate even before the tournament started. then sure enough they came through in the pressure and delivered the greatest perfomance ever in the the World Jr's. Canada now owns all the major international hockey championships at one time, first country ever to do that.

I would have liked to see Carter to break Lindros's record!

Ya, I would've loved to see Carter break Lindros' record. I really don't like that spoiled brat. At least he tied the record. As for the NHL, I'm really mad at the players and am siding with the owners, but I still miss it. However, each day I seem to care less and less. After seeing games like those it takes my mind off the NHL. The one thing I am REALLY going to miss though are the playoffs.

As a former team Canada player and Bronze medal winner I was happy to see Canada bring the gold back for the first time since 97. I was dissapointed however, that it was not televised in the US anywhere.

Former player? What's your name? Was Jesse Wallin on that team that year?

Rossiter 2000 bronze medal. Wallin is two years older than me.

Cool, you still playing hockey? I know a few of my buddies that are hurting because the lockout. Some didn't get resigned back in the european leagues because of the expectation that NHL players would be playing for them. Also, I'm 20 and a lot of the guys I know had just made some of the teams in the NHL but can't play so that really sucks.
