Early thoughts: i'm not nearly as annoyed by oprah as I thought I'd be.

i want to drop some acid and watch this in HD, and then again on Blu ray

but im deff going to check it out.

The frog falling and catching himself on the branch was pretty good.

I was just about to post this. Also those stalk eyed bugs looked like something out of my nightmares.

I'd pay Discovery $5 to have Ron Magill narrate this.

I dunno, I think you need kind of a calm voice for this, I don't think mcgill is your man. I don't mind oprah, but I'd prefer someone brittish. Maybe karl pilkington.

The enthusiasm Magill has in his voice for animals is entoxicating. Every time I hear his segment I want to go to the Wild Animal Park.

Oh, I agree with Magill, I just don't think that level of excitement is right for this series, it's a little too mellow and relaxing.

I only saw the first ep, not the 2nd. Was very good, Oprah did better than I had thought. Slowmo of cameleon's gigantic tongue taking out Praying Mantis' was gruesomely awesome.

Canadian Discovery Channel shows it with the British commentary and not Oprah.

That's pretty good pwnage imo...almost anything in a British accent is better

God dammit.

I watched it on TLC HD which was Oprah... Would've liked to check out the British commentary.

Heh, we were watching this yesterday with my kids and I said to my wife "Who is this narrating? She sounds familiar." To which she responded "you are not going to like it."

I'm one of those people that considers Weaver over Attenborough for the US version of PE a travesty. I don't care that he uses references we wouldn't comprehend, or that the time constraints are different for segmenting the different episodes.

I watched most of PE with LG though, so the reference thing admittedly wasn't much of a problem.

Between TSN and TSN2 Women's World Championship Curling is on about 12 hours per day right now.

Oprah sucks, I'll be buying the Attenborough version.
