I need the advice of the masses...Despite having a superior team, i am down 2-1 and its a must win for me..
Here is the dilemma...We both have Phoenix goalies available. My opponent has already put in Phoenix..
Phoenix is in Tampa Bay..
I also have the option to go with San Jose goalies at Dallas and the Rangers at home to Habs...Should I put San Jose in? Here are lineups:
Clydesdales me:
1. Jeff Carter....Philadelphia...OT G
2. Phil Kessel...Toronto G
3. Thomas Vanek..Buffalo
4. Eric Staal...Carolina
5. Dustin Penner...Edmonton
6. Andy Mcdonald...St louis A
7. Dion Phaneuf..Toronto
8. Zach Bogosian..Atlanta
9. Roman Polak...St louis
10. Douglas Murray..San Jose
Phoenix Goalies
Ravag(him)
Steve Stamkos TBL **OT**
2. Milan Hejduk COL G
3. Jason Arnott NSH A
4. Mikhail Grabovsky TOR G
5. Brad Boyes STL
6. Martin Havlat MIN A
Defense
7. Michael Roszival NYR
8. Kimmo Timonen PHI
9. Johnny Oduya ATL
10. Tom Poti WSH
Goalies
Phoenix
I like my matchup tonight, even though I dont get Datsyuk,Malkin or my dman of Lubomir,Gonchar,Russell and Niedermayer going tonight..
Also would you substitute any of these guys that are also available for me:
Tyler Bozak..Toronto at Ottawa
Steve Sullivan...Nashville vs Philly
Sean Avery...Rangers vs Montreal (got benched, next game got 2 goals)
Brendan Morrison..Capitals at Florida
I like some honest advice..Its a huge game for me...

The Habs are awful. Gainey has left the team in shambles. You should use NYR goalies.

The Habs are awesome they will probably win the cup this year...They will never lose another game again..I love the Habs.
The preceding message was meant to start and apply the Serge curse....

I'd probably replace Vanek with Bozak, that line has been hot lately.
Then again, I'm a Leafs homer.

I like to get Bozak in there, but Vanek is running pretty hot lately..Also considered sitting Penner, but he has done well the last two games as well..Mcdonald i dont like to sit either...

Definitely don't change your lineup. I'd probably stick San Jose in there. Tampa has a few less goals than Dallas, and Dallas is at home, but Tampa has been hot lately.
Strategically, your lowest risk is to use the same goalies as he is. Doubly so since his OT player is against his goalies. You have the better lineup...stick with Phoenix.

thanks your comments are appreciated..
My feelings were similar..Since on paper I feel i have the better lineup, better to lower the variance and take goaltending out of the equation.
Lets hope nothing goofy happens like Grabovsky out scoring Kessel..

Yeah, pretty much your entire bench has scored tonight. That is shitty, but IMO, there weren't really any close decisions.
Luckily, Kessel has 1.5 left in him and Andy Mac is going to put up 1.5 as well.
Congrats on your win Serge!

All the experts have picked the Newmarket Hurricanes to finish 1st overall and a 98% chance to win the FCHL title as they have won twice. In the pre-season polls, the asdfjkl; were chosen to miss the playoffs. They have defied the odds. Everybody wants them to lose.

I actually am now in the semifinals..So two rounds to go still...
I now face Kharma...AKA Dave..AKA Swackers..AKA Irish dude..AKA nice guy..
I think all championship teams need to survive a scare like that...Being down 3-1 to a team that I was miles ahead of in the regular season was scary..But in the end i pulled through...
