So i've been lurking this site for quite a while and figured I'd start posting some hands for some feedback. I'm not a really serious player, especially when I'm playing online. I usually play 1/2 at the casino or home games and definetly have a winning record playing live. Online not so much, but i usually play online just for fun or to try and tweak my game. Final table of a 27 man sng on stars. started out playing fairly TAG and as my stack grew i loosened up a bit. It seemed like i had a lot of respect at the final table as most of my bets/raises weren't being called. Either they hadn't realized i had switched gears a bit or had nothing to play back at me with until this hand.....no real reads on villian as i'm multi tabling/surfing the net, plus i havent really played any hands with him

a few notes. I'm aware pf raise is a little small, but i've been working on the whole small-ball theory and seeing flops without investing a whole lot while still taking control. pretty much all of my raises since the 75/150 level have been around the same amount relative to the blinds no matter what i was raising with so i figured i wouldnt change that as i didn't want to become predictable. Kinda hard to see villian with a 2 unless he called with A2clubs. I could easily see hands like 77, TT limp calling as this is a $5sng, could also be a flush draw or A7. Do i call or wait for a better oppertunity to stack opponent

i know it is a bit of a wierd line but i either stick him in on the flop or call with the intention of getting it in on every blank turn imo. the flop raise is too small, i mean did you want a spazz shove over? we are ahead a lot here imo

Yeah, I think you have to call here. Wide range of hands for the villain and very few that are ahead of you. If he had JJ or 10101 he probably reraises you preflop. Very likely that he has something like ak, aq, aj, 7s, or some other small pocket pair that you are ahead of. Not overly confident that you have him dominated, but too many hands that you are ahead of to fold here. You couldn't ask for a better board for a pocket pair of 9s. You are in the money at this point too correct?

Your preflop raise is completely fine regardless of whatever strategy you might employ. It's closer to being too big than too small.

Also noone limp/called, just flatted.


As played def call, I think given stacks jamming flop is best to reduce variance (given you are the 2 top stacks at the table)

thanks, oh yeah, no one limped. so JJ TT def should have raised me. i think i was having some nitty thoughts entering my brain when i was playing the hand. i didnt really want to tangle with the second stack. i figured if i folded i still had the chip lead and like i said i wasnt sure if it was a flush draw or not and i didn't really want to risk that much of my stack to avoid a card (big leak i know). i know the flop raise was a little small, but like i said thats pretty much how i was sizing raises in that situation whether i had it or i was picking off a cbet. the inner nit in me took over and i tank folded. in hindsight i should have made the call. but hey thats why we post hands here right? thanks again

Villain is a retard and holds A7 in alot of spots here. Shoulda shipped the flop IMHO
