I'm torn on the best picture between Avatar and The Hurt Locker. Apparently it's a toss up between the two as they're both listed at 1.9 or -110, the rest of the movies are long shots. It's David vs Goliath. I haven't even heard of the Hurt Locker before but they have a chance. Ahhhh I don't know what to pick. I think I'm going to go with Avatar.

I'm one of the few who didn't like even like it that much, her being the first chick director to win best picture was a big deal I think. Avatar was beautiful but it was crap as far as story lines go, still stunning and immersive though.


Inglorious basterds was my favorite film of the year.

I feel kind of the same about Avatar as you do, except I think I likd it a bit more. I'm not usually a fan of 'big event' movies like this, but I was thouroughly entertained for the entire length of the movie. I thought the 3d was pretty amazing as well.


Inglorious basterds was also my favourite movie of the year though (of the last few years, in fact). I've already watched it 4 times.


I am very surprised that Avatar didn't win best picture though.
