My work has a Tim Horton's and a Starbuck, I usually always get starbuck, but now I get timmy's at the chance for greatness. I drink about 3 cups a day, and since it started this week, I'm probably like 0/12

No, they are all in the same cups. All the drinks that come in cups are the same. Except Ice caps, because that's a different cup.

I heard the medium cups are the most popular order and they have the most winners.

I always order extra large and win squat.

Note to self - turning up the heat just because you're really really hungry is not a good solution.

You guys all know this is a freeroll, right?

You can look at it as a freeroll if you are consuming the same amount of coffee during the promotion as opposed to normal times.

However some people will over drink coffee to try and win something during the roll up the rim promotion.

In this case while still being a freeroll, its still "gambling" on the amount of coffee that you have gone over your regular consumption.

I know people who are tripling their consumption on the oft chance they may get a donut...

Freeroll yes, true freeroll depends on the variables.
Zach6668
It's not gambling, those people are just falling for semi-clever marketing.
KosinTrouble
2/3 on the XL coffee's

True story...

You can also play for free on their website. Interesting piece of trivia: canadian government is the only person allowed to run a lottery. So for Tim's or McDonalds to do these promos, they HAVE to have the 'no purchase necessary' clause. Otherwise it's a lottery. Poker, strangely enough, is designated a game of skill under canadian law, and is somehow governed by the lottery act....

Hockey pools are also viewed as lotteries. The small print will explain how to play without purchase.
