How do lineups like this happen? I have two games in November where I have 5 forwards, never fewer. I think I had one 4-forward game in October. Most of my games I have like 80 people to pick from.

Having owned neither (but have used a iPod touch) my advice is simply: texting on the Apple touch screen sucks but the apps are pretty fantastic. The web browser is pretty slick as well (use finger to scroll in 2-d, pinch the screen to resize).

Which ever you pick... is up to your usage patterns.

I've been told kinda the same thing. If Im going to use it for a lot of emails, blackberry is the way to go. But that IPhone is much better for browsing. IPhone users keep telling me that texting/writing is not that bad. I dont see me composing long texts/emails anyway.

I wont be getting a lot of work emails at times when Im not already in front of a computer, and I spend a lot of my days in my office, so therefore, Im thinking more of an IPhone.

Stupid question....can an IPhone do all the things an IPod Touch does, ie with regards to music.

And most importantly, which would be best for keeping up with FCHL, AHL and FCP. smile.gif

Early versions of the iPhone had way, way, less storage than the iPods (like 2gigs vs 16gigs). Looks like the highest iPhone is now 32G while iPod Touch is 64G.

I assume that the iPhone is better at surfing traditional websites.. though most have mobile versions of their sites (example: m.facebook.com).

A mobile version of dashboard is on the todo list (amongst many idea that I have)

Admittedly, my only experience with Blackberry is my gf's Pearl, but it absolutely blows. The iPhone does literally everything.

Yeah I have an iPhone and I love it, except for the outrageous price I have to keep up with on the service, and the fact that it was one of the first generations of iPhones so it's getting pretty dated by the new ones. Really great, and I do not even use that many apps or games on it.

Blackberries are also very nice with my experience from them, but I would say with regards to a Blackberry that if you do not need constant email and internet updates DO NOT get it, you'll end up paying a premium for services that are of no real help to you. If your answer is to say that you need it for work, well that's when you go straight to them and request a company Blackberry.

Yes. It does everything the iTouch can do and also adds a phone, camera,GPS, and a microphone that the iTouch does not have.

I love my iTouch and use it daily but I also have a Blackberry Pearl and have had zero issues with it. It has GPS, camera. video, email, internet, etc. and is much cheaper.

For me to get an iPhone, which I was going to get Liz and I would be paying $160/mo for the service. With the Blackberry we do it for $110 and have unlimited access to everything just like the iPhone plan.

If you are looking for something to do phone, internet, email, video, camera, games, music, videos, then the iPhone is the way to go. I actually use the touch to keep track of all things FCHL when not at home.

If you are just looking for phone, camera, email, internet, then a Blackberry will do you just fine and for less money usually. Obv that all depends on your carrier.
Zach6668
I pay $100/month for my iPhone service, and I pay for WAY too much data.

Here's my favourite thing about the iPhone... I'll never be bored again. I go pick up Andrea after she's done work, and she's 10 mins late, no sweat, play some air hockey, or surf FCP, etc. (Yes, I have undiagnosed ADD.)

But this isn't the worst thing in the world, think about having diagnosed ADD, having to take pills and shiz at inconvenient times.
Hijack coming:
So I'm totally idiosyncratic with ADD. That combo alone makes me borderline OCD. Examples include:
I cannot wear socks that are not white.
I will never use a pencil again, they feel far too awful for me to use, even on standardize testing I'll meet halfway and use a mechanical pencil. Otherwise it's a pen for the rest of my life (Guess I won't be doing too many NY Times Crosswords...adequately)
I cannot use a calendar or schedule
Physical contact with anyone who isn't a significant other to me absolutely freaks me out, even if it's my parents or family members or best friends. Cannot do it.
Can't eat mixed portions of food together or switch from one portion to the other, I move from one, finish it and move to the next. (Ex. chicken, then rice, then green beans)
I never read voicemails or look at missed calls, they scare me beyond belief
Answering the door if the doorbell rings and I don't automatically know who it is
Traveling alone, you should see me trying to use the subway system in Boston, it must be a riot

Not sure how I'm still alive, or at least getting by
Uhh...Go Mustangs?

NEXT: Playstation 3 or XBOX 360

I'm leaning towards Playstation 3. I like the fact I get a console for the games I want to play, and want my son to play, AND get a Blu-Ray player as well.
Not sure what the XBOX offers me that Playstation doesnt, other than the fact I might not get to play against some of you online, but I think thats better for my self-esteem anyway.....on many different levels.

Im truly scared getting such a console will turn me back into the lazy slob I was in my yute.

That's a lot. We have me, liz and her parents on out plan and at it would have been $160 for 2 data plans and 2 regular plans.

If TMobile had iPhones I would have gotten one for sure as their prices are so much better. Unlimited Data plan for Blackberry Service is $20.

On this topic, I own an Xbox 360, and am a past owner of a Wii for current generation consoles. This doesn't even break the ice on what I've owned in the past (NHL '94 on a Sega Genesis is the definition of heaven to me) but I do have a lot of experience with the PS3 and I think if you're looking for it to be your media center (which is what it seems like) you are going to get a great deal out of it. The firmware updates will constantly make the Blu-Ray (BD) player one of the best options. The free online use is a great plus as well, it might not have the amount of quality downloadable games available or the server support that Xbox Live does, but that is a paid service, and for the Playstation Network (PSN) to be free and run just fine is good enough. The wireless adapter is already included in the PS3, which is a paid add-on for the 360. Now both systems have Netflix that you can stream right to your TV for free if you already have an account.

For games there are some great exclusive titles like the "Uncharted" series, "God of War" series, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5. Tons more, and all the big 3rd party releases will come to the PS3, so no need to be worrying about missing a Call of Duty output or another top game.

Overall a very solid deal now that they've lowered the price, and you can choose from the "slim" model or if you like the bigger and shinier model you can go with that too. Probably some combo deals that you could find that comes with a few games with the system, I'd approve of going with the PS3 over a 360.
Zach6668
I have an Xbox 360, and I have no problem with it. I guess PS3 is probably the better buy, because it does come with the Blu-Ray player. There's a few games you can only get on either system, so if there's a certain game you want, go with that system, but most are multi-platform.

I also impulsed a Wii the other day, and absolutely love it. It was all because of the new Mario Bros. game, which is awesome because it's classic, somewhere between Mario 3 and Mario World. What sealed the deal for me, was the fact that you can also download a ton of old NES, SNES, and N64 games. Also, the sports games are cool too, but we've already broken one light fixture during a tennis match, lol.

I'd still get the Xbox or PS3 over the Wii, but I was impressed with how much I liked it.

me too. I got it for my son, but I have had a ton of fun playing against him. The sports games are a blast, I cant seem to be him at golf/table tennis no matter how hard I try.

Didnt love NHL2k10. Looking fwd to NHL'10,and FIFA.
Zach6668
I have NHL 10 and FIFA 10. Both are ridiculously good. I haven't done this for FIFA, but without a doubt the best thing about NHL 10 is the online team play, especially if you get on a team of decent players and you actually play your position properly, etc. I'm on the Pensblog Pro team, and it's sooooooo much fun. I haven't played in a bit, but when I left we were in the top 30 in the world.
