Live 2-60 game tonight (plays like 1-2 ..blah blah blah)
I'm dealt A

2

on the button and have 3 limpers in front of me. I limp as well( try to ignore this pre-flop action )
small blind calls BB checks (5 players pot is $10)
Flop: 3

4

5

SB checks BB bets $20(first indication this was going to be weird) fold fold fold Hero: raises to $60 ..... as if this isn't weird enough already...... SB calls BB raises to $120 Hero?
a little bit of background
I have about $160 behind at this point
both have me covered.
SB is a complete fish and I'm fairly confident with his flat he's on a flush draw. BB has been playing pretty solid..... and I'm sitting there thinking of folding a flopped wheel

Andddddddddddd
You're sitting there thinking wrong. You're literally beat by only one hand. He should never have 62.
Shove AINEC.
Now I remember why my post count has dropped, everything is, "what should I do here when I'm getting coolered? Can I fold the 2nd nuts?"

I understand the willingness to just ship it in I'm just not convinced this being live play with this type of action that hero necessarily has the best hand. It was limped pre-flop which puts both 2-6 and 6-7 in BB and probably in all honesty SBs range as well. The size of the bets and action with regards to the size of the pot have me questioning what type of range the BB would be proceeding with this type of action.

67 maybe... cooler
26... prob not... cooler
flush draws/pair&straight draws etc... much more likely

Not saying he should ever fold here, it's cash, not a tourney, SHOVE!! Unless you have a soul read that he would never play a pair and straight/flush draw this way and is only raising because he wants to charge the fd, while holding the nuts... but to reply to the above posters, the guy could have anything here, he is the BB, it was limped, he could have the 2-6, or 6-7, or A-2, or any combo hand. But, put the money in and go kick your dog because you caught a cooler, then go home and post about it on a forum asking for advice and only get made fun of.

For what it's worth I'm not the one who even held this hand I was in the BB with A

2
me and the button had a little bit of a discussion as he thought I was pretty solid and nearly folded his wheel so NO i didn't get coolered I was just looking for input on the hand.
board went runner runner hearts for me to out flush the SBs turned flush and i ended up scooping which was neat. I really thought there might be a hint of discussion given that this was a live cash game sorry I wasted your time.

I'm putting the BB on two pair since he checked his option. I'm just highly doubting 6/7 but it could happen, but once you raise why wouldn't he push? You have to believe he doesn't have it.

I think the important thing to get out of this is that if you are not comfortable getting it in as the button, don't limp trash. Dream flops for trash hands are few and far between; maximize your earnings and shrug off coolers/beats.

+1 big time- there is no way in the world i would ever fold this hand, even to the nittiest player in the world. If i have played with a villain for like 3 hours, they have played zero hand the entire time, and i see a bet here i still get it in! This is beyond the best flop possible for this hand

I guess we've just seen to many times where guys aren't comfortable in a cash game putting their 30-50 BB stack in holding the 3rd nuts (meaning they should'nt be playing) and its usually a cooler hand. Nice to see u win it all.
I guess he had a 120BB stack, but it still doesn't matter, not deep enough to consider a fold.

Another point I would note is that villain's/your $20 flop bet informs our decision-making. There was $10 in preflop, so that's a relatively big/defensive bet. From solid players, that bet usually is a strong, non-nut hand. I don't see 67 making that play, because 67 wants hands like 56, 46, a6, etc to stick around.
The reraise to $120 probably eliminates pair+flushdraw hands from bb's range. So that leaves a limped 26 cooler, a2 for the chop (with you runner-runner free-rolling), sets and possibly top two pair. Against that range, yeah, it's a must-call.
That said, if it had been a $10 bet preflop, I'd evaluate the options a little differently. Depending on player reads, I might fold here in a $1-2 live game, particularly because such games often feature "solid" players who would only be making that small bet-reraise with the stone nuts, and our third-best hand is called the "idiot end straight" for a reason... It would be a soul-read fold though, that's for sure.

Im confused why everyone is saying this may be 76 but can't be 62. Villain checked a limped pot from the BB. Why is 62 so outta the question?

He might as well have 62, he's the BB. But, it's a shove, you hold 3rd nuts.
