If he was going to cheat on his wife, the very least he should have done is cheat with someone who has just as much to lose as him, not some attention whore PR chick from vegas.

Speaking of that, did you see the JFK picture released by the source of All True Gossip, TMZ?

It suppposedly shows JFK on a yacht with 4 naked women romping and playing around him, taken when Jackie was pregnant with a baby that miscarried while he was off philandering. Not that it's a surprise that he cheated on her, but if the picture had been released at the time, his Camelot image might have been severely damaged.

Are we finally going to learn what really ended Antony and Cleopatra's relationship?

Wondering whats with Stan Kroenke deciding to exercise his option to match any offer to buy the St. Louis Rams. This puts him at odds with the cross ownership rules the NFL has in place. Also wondering if there is a quid pro quo with Commissioner Goodell to lift the cross ownership rules if Kroenke agrees to move the team to LA when they finish their new stadium.

I mean it's just one of these -- (interruption) well, I know I'm a publishing magnate, I have the most widely read political newsletter in the country today. Comcast beat me to that. Can't do it all, folks. Well, but that would all be part of the mix in saving America, buying Newsweek, buying CBS, NBC, shutting them down. But other people beat me to it.

Are you saying that oil isn't natural? Because oil is formed from plankton and it's always leaking into the oceans from rifts and earthquakes. Usually the earthquakes don't know the very best spot to split open, like BP does, but it's still absolutely natural and has happened for millions of years*.

Obviously the oil is natural.

Drilling down into sub-oceanic oil fields is a human activity.

Well, I think the main difference is the fact that, you know, there's a lot of it in a concentrated area.

Or is the argument that anything which is natural cannot possibly be bad or something that we try to prevent?

Jokes need some remote connection to reality in order to be funny.

The heroin connection to the drug issue was actually brought up by the pro-legalization side, not the anti-'turn our country into a shooting gallery' side.

Therefore your connection you tried to make falls flat.

Work more on following the conversation before you interject your 'jokes' K?

Okay BG. Anyone who regularly reads your 'discussions' on your views regarding points like gay marriage, drug legalization, left/right biases, racism, religion etc. can see your hilarious use of willful ignorance and totally biased worldview. It's okay because you have put in your time, you're old school, and you're an elder.

Let me be clear: I am not criticizing you at all. I think you are a great person, father etc. But your obvious biases are just pretty funny. I'm just giving you crap for that.

Would you like to get into the point that you are addressing? You are against legalization of marijuana for medical purposes, and one of your pieces of 'evidence' is the argument that if you make all drugs legal then we're fucked because then the kids will be shooting heroin instead of trying to buy smokes. You never actually take this point, you just spew it as a talking point. You have specifically stated that you are anti-medical pot because once we legalize that than we'll legalize everything else, right? You won't ever agree to medical marijuana on the basis that legalizing that opens too many doors to legalizing harder drugs right? Can we talk about you and your opinion and not everyone else? It's confusing when you use talking points. I am absolutely fascinated by your worldview, but I understand you being hesitant to open up like that.

Do you actually want to talk about it, or keep trading light-hearted jabs at each other? I'm fine with either.

No, actually it was Henry who introduced the entire argument that the 'insane war on drugs' should include all drugs, not me.
I use the gateway argument as a joke mostly. I don't think everyone who smokes pot will shoot heroin, but I would say that people who never smoke pot are much more likely to never do harder illegal drugs. So the argument of the slippery slope is not without any basis, just not one clear cut enough to justify not legalizing pot.

I spent 16 months in a rehab, know lots of reformed drug addicts, so I admit that my worldview is greatly slanted because of this. I don't think that drugs are a positive on society at all, and their illegality is the best choice even though it's not a good choice.

So any arguments in here about legalizing all drugs were in reference to someone arguing to legalize all drugs.

As far as pot, if it gets legalized, I won't move because the USA will end. But let's not pretend that the medicinal maryjuanda people really give a crap about the medicinal side of pot, they just want to smoke pot. That's why anyone with $200 can get a prescription, and then self-prescribe any amount they want to for any ailment they can name including being nervous, or having a headache. The very few people who can be helped by smoking pot can find other forms of help, even if they cost more. It's not a 'only solution' to their problem, just a cheaper one that humorously also includes you lighting a weed and ingesting it, something that we as a society have completely demonized when the weed is tobacco and cigars. So maybe I'm just jealous because I have to pay $10 a stick for a good cigar while you pot heads are still smoking $2 joints!
