A thread not really dedicated to one team or league, just somewhere we can post quick thoughts.
Just like, I thought this was hilarious...

3+ weeks to be exact, so don't go thinking your team in the wannabe Steeler jerseys are the reason. They just seem to have Penn State's number. It's disgusting and pathetic but it's true.
Speaking of disgusting and pathetic how about weekend (Thur-Sun) for all the teams in my signature.
Pitt Football - Embarassed @ NC State
PSU Football - Beat by Iowa again (and at home in front of 109,000+)
Steeler Football - Beat @ Cincy for the first time since 2001. Big Ben loses for the first time in Ohio as a pro. 10-1 now.
Pens Hockey - It's only preseason but lost both games.
Pirates Baseball - They actually went 2-2 and actually went on to win their series vs. the Dodger's today 3 games to 1. All this after dropping 6 in a row and were 3-18 in the month of September.

Random:
I'd like a weekly show that I can DVR of Mike Pereira (VP of NFL officiating) that goes over all the important/difficult/wrong/under league review calls from the previous week.
He has one small segment on NFL Total Access and I never know when the segment is going to be on.

Yeah.. they wanted a TO bad on that play. They'll drop a few spots, but it was a pretty obvious trap game. OOC, right in between Michigan and Penn State. That QB's a 4 year starter.. Iowa tends to have problems with the spread. The pick 6 was terrible. Just terrible.

WARNING WARNING WARNING MIAMI HOMER ALERT THIS IS NOT A DRILL

That said, ronnie brown is a really impressive runner, and probably the most underrated back in the league. Week after week I hear fantasy football experts recommend me bench him, week after week I ignore them ( out of necessity mostly) and week after week I am rewarded.
I think Miami has the best 1-2 punch in the league ( and by 1-2 punch I mean of an actual tandem, that has a run balance of 65%-35% or better.... Not the best starter and best back up combo, that would obv be AP/Taylor or somebody)

He is good in all phases of the game. I dont feel I am being a homer. He is ridiculously underrated. He is good in short yardage and an excellent blocker. You are going to need someone to do some dirty work on this team....brown can do that while still bringing pro bowl skills to the table. He is also a great receiver which is always useful.....Miami does not use him enough that way (because he is too busy running the wildcat I guess). He had a great catch on a fade route last night (that was nullified by a holding penalty).
I put some thought into it before posting because I knew I would get called a homer. He would be in sometimes with AP but he would be the 3rd down back. Remember, AP does not play on 3rd and long ever.

If South Florida played with discipline on either side of the ball, they could probably beat Cincinatti.
