I think I did. Villain in this hand was of the passive type but did not really stand out as one style or the other. I have not been opening a lot, and particularly not in first position. This time I elected for a full 3x raise, and I get repopped. I cover.

Villain instashoved over, which means he did not even think about it. I'm still leaning towards a call, am i correct in thinking this, or is it better to just sit and wait? Bubble is approaching, should this have any impact in my decision?

I think u should probably just let this one go. Does the bubble have any affect on your decesion here? Yes, it does because villain is gonna be shoving a lot tighter here most of the time. So, alot of the times he's turning over two overs here, AK - AT type hands. You should really try avoid a race situation here since you will almost always be in one and hardly ever have him dominated. TT - QQ is also very plausable here which means you're almost dead.

Anyways, imo just fold and wait for a better spot, you have enought chps to do so. You really dont want to be committing most of your chips on what is usually a race situation right on the bubble.

I hate 99 here we dont have a significant chip advantage and villain just shipped 22BB.. Yeah its from the button and yeah he could have 66-88 here. But more often than not he has AJ+ and TT+ which represents a far larger portion of his range. I don't think villain is doing this with ATC and I don't like the idea of at best flipping the majority of the time in this situation.

Does this really matter here?

I like open raising a little less here. 250-275 is better if we plan to fold to a push here.

Not really, no.

that is a big raise thou but i think he is just praying you think the same thing and call. Fringe fold im probably shipping 10's, def j's. Oh and totally agree with Kkot on the bet size since it is such a tight spot on the bubble we can get by with smaller raises since it is more of a stop go kind of situation most wil not care about pot odds but more about the move you are showing them. 2.5X BB is just fine get about the same thing done

no, which is basically the point I make...I just mentioned it in reference to some people overthinking a raise like this from the button

my fold was basically based on the ranges I would assign to an unknown in that situation shoving 22BB

2.5x this pre, and fold to push imo

Tnx for the replies everyone! FWIW, I folded.

I had the slight suspicion that because the bubble is so nearing, villain would realize that my utg opening range would widen because i would start to make use of my second stack and start stealing.

Even then. Your stack is not pressuring you into a call and you could still end up in a coin flip, even if he's just pulling a move.
