Watched the first episode tonight.....

Man.....so many funny lines.


Definitely added this to the DVR.

Hope they keep it up.

There were a bunch of really funny moments, will definately keep this on the pvr.

Ehh, the only character that was funny was the middle aged dad, and they were trying way too hard with him at times.

I was flipping around and came across this. It was terrible. Beyond awful. Cliche central. Bad acting. Bad writing. Everything that is wrong with network television. And I only watched for two or three minutes.

If you are old and have kids....you soooooooooooo relate to alot of it.

I didn't think last night's episode was that good (from what I saw, a good chunk of the episode had the voices cut out).

What I enjoyed more last night (probably because I'm a middle aged woman) was Cougar Town.

Which, apparently, features lines like "Boy, I'd love to lick his ass crack" or something similar...Confirmation?

For some reason I can't really explain I enjoy watching the actor that plays the "buddy dad" on this show. His bit last night when he's in the kitchen was humorous.
Something along the lines of:

"I'll do what I want because what she don't know..."
turns head
yells "HONEY?"
pauses listening intently
faces back to camera "won't hurt her."

so much racial humor too, towards the hispanic kids dad.

Pretty sure I use joke like that on a daily basis towards my wife.


My favorite ever was when we bought our house and we had a house warming party planned and realized the night before that it was much more dirty than we thought and we did not have time to clean it our selves. So I called a cleaning service, who showed up at 6:30 AM. I answered the door to 4 Mexican girls, turned around and yelled "Honey, your cousins are here" and went back to bed.

HAHHAHAHAA!

I'm really starting to get bored with it, which is a shame because I thought it started off well. I think I just don't really like any of the characters except the middle aged dad, and the fat gay guy. I love Ed O'Neil, but in this show he's boring. I'll probably try one more week of it, then give up on it.

I like it enough to spend 22 minutes out of my week watching it. But I do have a ton of free time so my time is not that valuable.

This week Time magazine had a long article on the TV Sitcom... and then had a list of about 6 olds shows and said that if you liked X show of yesterday... you will love Y Show of today.

The show this was paired with was Arrested Development.

Even though I knew Al was going to hit the guy with the plane, I still laughed out loud when it happened. Sometimes it's just about how things are pulled off.

thats because i've never actually seen this show. turns out i saw two minutes of some other show that sucked. it had courtney cox in it. this doesnt.

just watched all four episodes and this show is pretty damn good. think I like the gay couple the most actually. and the teenage girl, but for altogether different reasons.


and I liked the racial humor too. didn't think about it until I read this thread. oh shit, now I remember that line the dad said in the pilot when they told them the baby's name was "lily": "isn't she gonna have trouble saying that?"


had to pause the damn show so I could stop laughing.

Ya, we are still loving this show.


And the Riry part......we must have rewound that 6-7 times.

Laughed my ass off when blondie wife came out wearing the 'Claire and Present Danger' tennis t-shirt.

This show gets better each week, I now look forward to it which means alot. Most shows I DVR and watch a week later.

The Phil storyline was so friggin great this week.

I love it when big stars do stuff like this. It was really funny to see him do that.

Spot the bass player

Finally watched the birthday episode...loved it. I put it up there with some of the (average) Sunny and Curb episodes, not quite up to AD standard. Really well done.

My wife kept asking me to make a comb sheath yesterday.

I don't know, you have odd/upredictable taste. It's not a comedic masterpiece, but it has plenty of funny moments. I think that they have a chance of doing well...it's like, almost a really good show, which is much closer than 98% of tv out there today.

I would watch 4 or 5 episodes. You'll know by then if it's your thing. The constant racial and gay humor is pretty dang funny.

Yeah, when I first saw the commercials for this show I rolled my eyes, but it turns out I really like it. funny show.

This is now my favorite show on TV. Even ahead of Lost.

This show is fantastic....it needs to get more love from the forum at large. Loved the season finale as well as both Hawaii episodes.

Here's my love. It's quickly becoming my favorite TV show. Every actor is awesome. The writing is awesome. It's awesome.
