Last season was okay for me. Nothing great that I can remember, but I never had a problem watching.

The new season starts tonight (17 minutes in now).
Ottawa_Biatch
Episode was bleh, imo

Some new familiar actors on the show. The guy from Prison Break and the naked 16 year old from Californication.

I'm glad Claire's roommate died, she might have been the most annoying character in the history of television.

And Darth Maul.

Mostly boring episode. The carnies might be interesting. Sylar is still the best character.

Wait, naked 16 year old?

Wait, naked 16 year old?

Claire's new friend in college (The brunette) has a pretty famous nude scene in the first season of Californication where she sleeps with the main character while being only 16, and gives him a black eye during sex by punching him in the face during orgasm.

I feel like I should have rewatched the previous season. I just felt so damn lost.

Hope the Haitian is in more episodes.

thank god that chick jumped out the window. Now we just need gretchen to do the same.

Oh my....I didn't even realize real TV had started again. Sorry for hijacking thread but when's LOST?!

i think the whole syler in matt's head story is going to be pretty interesting
Suited_Up
I thought it was pretty decent. I kinda like the storylines they're putting together for a change.

Agreed totally. I loved teabag in Prison break, he plays the manipulative bad guy so well. Should be a good fit for him on this show as well.

Now that's a ringing endorsement. They should consider putting that on the season 4 (3?) DVD...

Maybe I should apply to do some testimonials for any commercials for the season DVD.

I guess it's because I've watched every episode, that no matter how bad it gets, I can't stop watching.
JoeyJoJo
I liked this last episode a lot (except the whole Claire storyline (although I was slightly amused at the bulimic chick not realizing what she was getting herself into by all her not so subtle hinting (except that it didn't result in the Haitian))).

Anyway, the carnie guy is intriguing and I usually like Peter's storylines, so hopefully that will be the main focus of the year.

I liked Sylar/Parkman because Sylar is awesome, but I'm not really sure what's going on there. I'm going to need Sylar to be Sylar away from Parkman because Parkman sucks ass.

Deaf chick was interesting, but how does seeing sounds allow you to play like that anyway?

I kinda assumed she knew how before she was deaf, but who knows.

I don't think so.

She seemed pretty surprised that she was playing.

Good ep. though.

This season might have some potential.

2nd episode was stronger than the first one. T-bag is an interesting character and the compass thing/ink plot line has some hope. Sylar can obviously mess with Parkman but he can't have Parkman die obviously (good reason why he pointed out that the druggie was going to shot thru the door) so they have a nice "partnership"

Claire storyline is boring except for the fact that they're showing a lot of skin and perhaps leading into some lesbian relationship with the Duchovny slapper.

Didn't Jada or someone else here post something about a Claire girl on girl kiss this season?

On another note, what's the over/under on the number of episodes we all keep calling the tattoo guy, T-bag? I'll set the line at 3.5

Blech, so boring. I lost interest last season and clearly for good reason. I'd say it's jumped the shark, but I can't pinpoint when the jump took place.

Last night my wife and I were watching this tivo'd episode and half way through she turned to me and said: "do you still like this show?" and then turned over and went to sleep.

I almost paused it and turned on one of my 6 poker shows I have saved, but decided to watch to the end.

Peter stills bugs me, but Clare saves him from being both the worst and most annoying actor ever.

The whole carnival thing is so obviously going to end bad.

"Hey let's recruit this bad dude to join our 'family', he is addicted to killing people and taking their powers"

" Uh..are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Sure, if he decided that he doesn't want to live in a run down trailer for the rest of his life and starts killing us all I will draw something or you can run around real fast and cut him as fast as he heals."

" Oh..looks like you thought this through, I'm in as long as he doesn't sleep with our group ho who you have asigned to seduce him"

"Good then let's break and make it a good day. Oh and someone needs to empty the sewage in my trailer again. Man trailer life is great!"

Meanwhile, Hiro is going to retry what he already tried in season one, again. Only this time he'll do it in his azz-less hospital gown.
JoeyJoJo
I'm still watching, but it annoys me that they all make such dumb choices regarding their powers.

Let's teleport to this boy with the power to heal, take his power, then catch a plane back.

Hey, here's an idea, teleport the boy back with you, then either let him heal Hiro or take his power then. Seems like that might be a little more efficient.

I do think this is an interesting power for Peter to have.

And I'm always interested in Sylar. I liked that the carnie apparently knew of him and that he was the most powerful of them all. Sylar might be super powerful, but good lord is he easily manipulated.

The Claire storyline is lame. The Hiro storyline looks like it could easily become lame.
FARGOpokerND
Without Sylar, I don't think I watch this show...

Although I still like HRG very much as well.

The rest are just adequate fillers at best.
dEv~
I'm all caught up as I watched the season 3 and all of season 4 (so far) in the past month or so. It's not the show that it was in the first season but it's enough to keep my interested.

There are certainly some parts where I want to throw something at my TV (Claire) but Sylar is awesome and I don't see anyway that T-bag isn't going to be awesome as well. Hiro is pretty much just there to show how racist NBC is.

anyone still watching this? I finally got caught up for this season. Things have been alright. No matter what it will never get back to how it was in the first season.

As am I. Now that sylar is back (well sorta) it should be much better. Sylar FTW!!
fleung22
what I don't get is when Peter touched Sylar a little while back why didn't he gain all of Sylar's powers?

I know I'm being a nit but after watching Hiro confront past Sylar to protect his girl and using his time freeze and zooming all over time...it's really killing me that he's in the situation with the Carnival dude. I mean, if you know the Carnival dude stole your girl why not just travel back 10 min? It's not like he wasn't ALREADY doing this for the hour before it happened!!

Nothing good ever comes from having time travel in your show/movie.

They are really inconsistent with Peter's power stealing. Sometimes he has to try to take it, other times it just happens.

Even though Peter is usually really stupid (and he was still stupid in this episode), he probably made the right choice to take the Haitian's power. Although, in another inconsistency of the show, in an earlier episode, didn't it take all of the Haitian's power to keep Sylar at bay? Or was that Papa Petrelli? Either way, it's been shown that it is difficult for him to control the really powerful ones and it doesn't seem likely that Peter would be able to engage in a fist fight while also preventing Sylar's powers from working.

And before he let Nathan/Sylar drop, he should've taken Sylar's power.

Also, the Claire storyline, as always, sucks.

Sylar is still far and away the best thing about this show, but I do like T-Bag.
El Guapo
Peter can only have one power at a time since he got injected with the green stuff.

But isn't Sylar's power the ability to understand how other people's powers work, which allows him to duplicate it? It would still be one "power."

But if he took that power, wouldn't he have to cut people's heads open to use it? I know Sylar took the lightning from Sarah Marshall through empathy or love or getting shocked a bunch, but I count that as something the writers wish they never wrote and now conveniently forget. Like that Irish girl that's stuck in the infested future.

Peter took the Haitian's power, which is really two powers, ability blocking and mind erasing. The Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau of ability combos. But is this one power or two? Shouldn't Peter have only been able to take one? Maybe the rule is that Peter can take one power at a time from people who acquire powers but if someone originates with two, he can take them both.

I was going to respond to this, but then I figured we've probably already spent more time thinking about it than the writers, so I'm just going to do my best to ignore all the inconsistencies.

I'm still hoping for a final showdown between Sylar and Peter with Peter's powers fully restored.

well the season is nearing the end and to me this has been the second best season of the series. At first I thought the whole carnival thing was just stupid but the whole concept has really grown on me. And after two weeks ago I got really intrigued by the whole Hiro thing. Actually missed him not being in it this week. What I wouldn't give for him to start making the transformation to the future hiro that met Peter in the train in the first season.

I believe there is like two more episodes left in the season.

I kinda like the story surrounding the carnival, but I don't like the scenes when they're actually there. I also don't like this vague crap about samuel, one day he controls the earth, then he gets stronger with specials, one day he is doing it for a woman, then he's just a crazy lunatic, bleh. I hope he dies soon.

I like the Sylar stuff.

Maybe they wanted to end this carnival bullshit, which I agree with. So I hope that's the end of it.

Heroes does a wonderful job of having the lamest finales. Maybe it's the budget and the writing too - they've always had problems with quality control. Just too many stupid moments to count in the last episode.

Too bad - I thought that they built it up pretty well during the season but they always screw it up.
