I do not care for the forced plot points across all TV shows. Recyclops was pretty god damn awesome, but I don't like the idea of this stuff being forced into the shows. First it was volunteer stuff, now "going green." Fuck all of it.
Suited_Up
This last episode was pretty bad.
dolfan
It felt like they were setting up something major and then...they steal a bottle of booze and take the limo back to Scranton? Oscar didn't say anything to the board, Michael insulted one and somehow keeps his job, and that's it.

Things I liked: Ryan's constantly changing hipster wardrobe in each episode, he and Creed waxing philosophical about relationships, and Dwight's "shirt guy" comment.
brvheart
Terrible episode last night. The opening wasn't even funny.
dapokerbum
Yeah I kept waiting for Oscar to say something crazy and awesome to bring it together but then ... nothing. Like when you light the fuse on a firecracker and you see it going down and you get all excited and then nothing happens.

However, Parks and Rec was AWESOME! That show is starting to grow on me in a good way.
king_tanner
I agree with all the Oscar stuff. Maybe they are setting up for him to do something in a future episode?
TheWynn
I think they did a good job of making Ryan look like a dick because I wanted to kick him in the dick. The business meeting was lame.
dapokerbum
Does anyone even watch this anymore? Last nights episode was very funny. The best episode in the last month IMO.

Creed was gold as usual. New receptionist with the 12 days was funny. Michael being a total jackass was good.

The one thing i am bummed at is where they are taking Oscar. I thought for sure he was going to have a bigger impact on things and maybe he will in future episodes as the buyer comes in, but just using him for the obvious gay joke role is overplayed.

I still watch it. Along with all the TBS re-runs on Tuesdays.

My favorite part was when Michael came out dressed as jesus and Angela started clapping.
Suited_Up
It was ok, but not nearly the best for me. I think I might be enjoying all 3 of the other shows more lately actually. Starting with Community, then 30 Rock, then Parks. The 3rd of which is a shock to all of us. Because I didn't love the first season.
coug2828
a clip show.

is this the final season or are they just out of ideas?
brvheart
I thought it was one of the best 'clip shows' I've ever seen. I loved how all the clips fit into what was happening on the actual show. I normally hate clip shows, but I watched this entirely without wanting to turn it off. That's a huge accomplishment in my eyes.
LadyGrey
FYI I quit watching this and I don't miss it. I will happily rewatch older episodes, but the new ones just weren't doing it for me. Not sure if others have done the same, but it's real quiet in here.

Wow.

I didn't even realize it was a "new" episode last night. I must have reached the end of my Office-is-a-show-I-won't-miss....thing. I'll try to remember to check in next week, but probably won't feel too bad if I forget.

I still watch and very much enjoy the new episodes.....but it is not as good as it was seasons 2-4. Happens.

Am I the only one who's been enjoying Parks and Recreation lately? It's gotten a lot better than it was at first, and I think Amy Poehler is pretty excellent in it. Also Aziz Ansari is great.

Did you know that 2 of the main writers of that show are also the creators of FIRE JOE MORGAN? Awesome, I know. Though we should probably try to get the show cancelled so they'll go back to FJM.

TheWynn
Great episode tonight, I thought. Flame away.
speedz99
Yeah, tonight's episode wasn't awful, so I guess that's an improvement. To be fair, I haven't watched the past handful of episodes, but I'm pretty sure I'm right in thinking they weren't funny.

You're pretty accurate, but tonight was enjoyable. 30 rock was too.
dolfan
I enjoyed it. I can't help but wonder if this was the plan all along or if the writers were just reacting to the utter awfulness that was Jim in a management position.

30 Rock almost always is.
dapokerbum
It was enjoyable but still sub par IMO.

Parks and Rec is still cracking me up though.
CaneBrain
I thought it was a great episode. Everything about Andy and Erin cracks me up.

"Your boyfriend is gay"

lolz.

Loving community even more though.
king_tanner
I'm really happy with the whole NBC Thursday lineup. I really like Community, the interactions with Troy and Abed (sp?) are freaking hilarious.

At first I didn't like Parks and Rec, but recently it has grown on me and it is now my favorite show out of the four.

Yeah The Office has gone downhill a bit, I still really enjoy it though. The nard dawg needs to hook up with Erin immediately. It is starting to get on my nerves that nothing has happened haha.

30 Rock is the one show out of the four that I can't get into at all.
dapokerbum
I was watching an old episode last night (the one with Dewali) and it dawned on me that (A) I had never seen that episode before and (B) that was the first episode in a while that I truly enjoyed from start to finish. I'm not sure what they need to do, but they need to find another way to get the chemistry back from old seasons. I am really hoping the demotion of Jim will be one step in the positive direction for this show.
dolfan
On a related note, I caught the Season 3 finale on TBS recently (Michael, Jim, and Karen all interviewing for the corporate job that Ryan steals). The scene where Michael came back into the office and gave his, "I'm going nowhere..." speech just saddened me. He's still got some good stuff here and there, but he just owned that whole scene and it might be my favorite Michael moment on the show.
king_tanner
Good episode tonight.

I kind of lose interest with the show though when there is huge breaks between episodes. I know the Olympics is to blame for this, but even before the Olympics they would show like 2 or 3 new episodes then wait a few weeks.
Theraflu
Meh.

A few decent jokes, but as someone who didn't like the wedding episode that much, this was much less heartwarming/enjoyable. Lots of breast-feeding stuff, which started to annoy me toward the end for some unexpected reason. Hour-long episodes are tough, especially when they show half the cast just doing nothing for the whole episode. I'm also liking Erin less, although I think that's the writers fault.

JubilantLankyLad
for anyone who's had a kid, that episode was bang on.
dapokerbum
Oh Man finally an awesomely funny show the whole way through.

I especially loved when Dwight was talking with Isabelle and then Angela sidles up next to him and he jumps back yelling ****

Also, at the end when Isabelle "whacked" Angela.

Good times!
king_tanner
I will watch TBS re-runs for the rest of my life.

But sorry. It needs to end now. The premiere was the worst episode ever. Just end it please.

That's a big statement...there were some reaaallly bad episodes last season.

hmm I actually enjoyed yesterday's episode. Glad to have it back
coug2828
but what about the opening where they did the lip syncing thing or whatever? pure comedy gold.
king_tanner
meh I just hated it for some reason. It seems like there are way too many characters now, the conference room was jam packed with people. For me it takes away from the show when they are jumping from character to character, which they have always done, but it gets annoying when there are around 20 characters.

On the other hand, I loved Big Bang Theory and Community.
Suited_Up
The fact that Jim couldn't even pull off a successful prank on Dwight speak volumes. That was one of the last funny things they could do to always deliver. But nope.

It's a midseason replacement which basically means as soon as they cancel that POS "Outsourced" (O/U---5 episodes imo) Parks and Rec will be back. Worst case scenario it should be back by January 2011.
brvheart
I enjoyed the episode. The very last scene with Toby was funny. I liked the elevator. I liked the spanking. The beginning was solid.

It was middle of the road, but definitely not terrible.
SBriand
I didn't mind it. Obviously it has passed it's golden years but for 23 minutes, I was entertained. Again, that is all I care about. I don't need or expect it to deliver like it did when all the original writers were doing it.
king_tanner
I actually liked Outsourced. I can see how it might be cancelled soon though.

I think it would be better if they were actually on set in India, and they would shoot stuff outside of the workspace.

I also re-watched The Office. Although I still don't think it was great, I definitely was a little off-base in my initial post. I think I was just expecting too much.

ehh it's not terrible but I didn't know the show was based off the movie when I first watched it.. It was strange for the first 5 mins because it felt so familiar.
dapokerbum
I hope the Office is getting close to being cancelled. They are missing something. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe they are trying too hard with Pam and to me she is failing miserably. I did like that they referenced poker last night, but still the show is just not that good. I mean really, Pretty Woman ... that was horrible.
