first stud8 round. hadnt seen either villain show down any odd hands
stack sizes not too important but losing several big bets would be enough to shrink any of our stacks significantly
in these HORSE tourneys its not rare for an A to raise even with a caller or two just because they have an A and not because their hand is good. i dont know if this guy is doing that, but i would not be surprised.

so after the fact i really wanted to 3bet the river. i figure villain 1 may fold if he only has a pair or maybe 2 pair and if villain 2 is raising a low i can get half and maybe scoop. OR if he's raising high i can get more in for my low half. downside of multi tabling is i was facing a check raise on one table and 3betting on another so i didnt give myself time to think about it, just assumed villain two caught whatever low he was chasing, and since i didnt have him 100% boardlocked i just called.

It looks pretty good.

Definitely jam on 7th as you have the low locked down

I generally don't bet 5th in a situation like yours, but I'm not against it. Was the table pretty passive?
RISEorFall
do i have the low locked? its kinda unlikely but i think he can make a better 7. with all the discards out its unlikely i guess. i try and remember most but i cant remember all those. you think the pot's too big to force villain 1 out if he has 2 pair? 1 pair might fold, player dependent, but 2 might just station it.

yeah the table was kinda passive. i didnt stop to think villain 1 probably had a big pair and i wasnt much of a favorite, i dont think. i know basics and some stuff from SS2 TB wrote, but that's about it. of course, thats better than most people, so...

so we c/c 5th? try to jam 6th right?

btw, took down the tourney just a minute ago. came back from being down like 8-1 in chips twice HU. its almost 3 am but im too hyped up to sleep.

Congrats on shipping the tourney. You have no reason not to jam your low on the river, he vil 1 has three perfect cards you can't do much.
rrumsey
yah we have the low but like almost no chance of winning high pot thou

Yeah, he would have to have 235, 245, 345, something along that line to bust your low. Would villian 2 c/r the river without having a better lo?

With villian 1 c/c every street with kings showing, your not scooping anything.

First, congrats on the win.

I think in a tourney I jam 7th as every extra bet is important and you have great position based on the hands/action

How much is the buy-in for the 4k
(I know I could look it up, but just throw me a bone)

Congrats again!!!! icon_dance.gif

well we might if villain 2 just has a low and our raise makes vil 1 throw away 1 or 2 pair, which with a pot this big he probably wont but since we seem to have the low locked i shouldve raised anyway and maybe he does, thinking i have straight/trips or something. i thought after the hand i should have, i just wasnt paying enough attention at the time with other tables blinking at me.

all the Full Tilt smaller guarantees are $24. the larger ones go from $75 to $150 i think. this one had 200 players and first paid $1400. nothing too special but i dont play tournies all that much so its nice for my roll. plus my tv just decided it liked the color yellow so i cant tell the packers from the bears, but now I can get a new shiny one.

but i really didnt post this to brag (though it is fun)
