That was a tough loss serge.... I thought it was done.... less than two minutes to go, and I needed either a goal against anaheim and a point from my CBJ players or two goals against the ducks.
You hit it right on the money early on with Antropov, so I was going to lose in OT.
Both CBJ late goals were powerplay goals, I actually looked to see if Kerry Fraser was reffing....

Good luck in game 7, it's been an excellent series, on paper you were a serious underdog, but you've more than held your own....

I have a lifelong friend who is probably the farthest thing away from a hockey fan you can be. In fact, practically any sport he despises, never watches, never played. He has worked out his whole life, and watches F1, thats the extent of it. Up until a year ago, he couldnt tell you a single player on the Leafs/NHL, except the truly household names, ie Crosby/Sundin.

Last Friday night, I ran a silent auction for a gala that he attended. One item was a Kessel signed jersey, and I heard there were 2 guys who were bidding on it hard. I saw the sheet later on that night, and it turned out he was one of them!!! You gotta understand, amongst our friends, seeing his name bidding on a hockey jersey is pretty much the same as Serge running the Habs Booster Club.

BUT, of course, simple explanation. His young son is a HUGE Leafs fan, and of course, my friend in turn is being forced to watch, and go to games, and bid disgusting amounts on hockey jerseys of players he feels are grossly overpaid. (he probably believes thats ALL atheletes btw, not just Kessel)

Its amazing what we will do for our kids!
