I think Mick needs to think more about playing to win rather than playing to make it to the end. Even if he did make it to the final 4 and knocked out Russel in 4th, I don't see him beating Natalie, and it would be a toss-up with Jaison. Also, I'm pretty sure Russel's strategy is to get rid of Mick before they get to 4.
I agree Mick needs to think about winning now but I think whoever organizes the blindside to get rid of Russell wins the game at this stage. It's a toss up between natalie, mick & jaison although I definitely rank Jaison at the bottom of the list (He's been the most disappointing player of the season). Mick was also his tribe leader for half of the game and if he comes up with how to get rid of russell he'd beat Natalie imo.

At this point Brett and Monica are in the minority and they almost have to try to align themselves with a Foa Foa member, I don't think they would flip on Mick if he came to them with a plan to get out Russel, Natalie, and Shambo. There would be no point in flipping because Brett and Monica can't win the game against any of those 3... even Shambo.
If Mick was able to blindside Russel... along with winning a few immunities, I can see a lot of the jury voting for him in the end even if there is a Galu tribe member with him at the end.
If Mick goes into final four with Dave and Monica, he's still in the same shape, maybe worse, than if he were in final four with Jaison, Russell and Natalie.
Also if anyone remembers from the recap show, Natalie is voting any way that Russell votes. She's hoping to at least get to final 2 with Rus.

I just think Mick would have a better chance to win up against Jaison, Monica, and Brett (not Dave he needs to go)... instead of being up against Russel, Natalie, and Jaison. I think Monica can be easily swayed and would take a deal to go to the final 3 with Mick and Jaison.. instead of sticking with Brett and picking stones if there is a tie. I just don't see Mick winning with the alliance he is in now, and again I don't even see him making it to the final 4 with the alliance he's in now. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this though.
The chicks are starting to get really annoying at Ponderosa. They all got outplayed by Russel, and all they are doing is blaming each other for screwing each other over. Kelly and Laura screwed Erik. Kelly got screwed by the immunity idol. John screwed Laura. The only one who should be pissed off at everyone is Erik.
I can't see any scenario with Shambo winning.

Yeah the whole Ponderosa stuff is just lol. Laura and Kelly were pissed off at Eric because he kept bringing up the question as to why he was voted off. Now Laura and Kelly are doing the same thing with John. They keep bringing it up and John is like "It's over with, let's move on." I really hate Laura more now.

Shambo is a moron and Russell can play her like a violin. Russell knew if he told her the chances were good that she would let the cat out of the bag. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission. He got rid of the biggest threat from the other tribe and can offer her up Dave this week and all will be fine.

I kind of agree with this. I think he has a decent chance of doing damage control. Hard to see Shambo flip again. She really doesn't like Monica anymore than Dave or Laura.
Russell had his mind made up that John was next the episode before when he agreed a Foa-Foa member would go next. No way he was doing that.

Good. We finally got rid of worthless Monica.
And LOL at her thinking she did something great shaking up the game. Yeah, I'm sure this was the 1st time Jaison and Mick were wary of Russell.
Could be a little scrambling soon, but I still don't see it. They can edit the previews to make things look crazy, but look at tonight. Everything went pretty much textbook for Foa Foa. Kept Shambo happy and voted off Dave, then I'm sure the target was Brett, since he won immunity they took out Monica.
Next week they've got to still be targeting Brett. You've GOT to get rid of him next time he doesn't win immunity with all 6 jury members old Galu. He's way too popular with them.
And even though they show talk of going after Russell, that's gonna be real tough to pull off while he can still use the idol (next 2 tribals I believe).
I'm interested in seeing what happens if they get rid of Brett next week. Does Russell form a final 3 with Shambo and Natalie as many (including myself) suspect? Or do the original Foa Foa 4 say "Thanks for helping us flip the game, bye bye Shambo"? They have been a tight 4 person alliance for awhile now.

I keep going in circles on this, both scenarios seem pretty plausible. The easiest win for Russell is Shanbo and Natalie, but I think he knows he can beat everyone left except possibly Brett. So at that point, from his point of view, it all comes down to who he (Russell) thinks he can trust, and I don't think we can tell that from the edits we see on TV.
The episode started off on a great note with Russell immediately deflecting Shanbo as easily as swatting a gnat. He has her number, 100%, even though he's probably more dishonest to her than anyone. It's really kind of amusing. Dance, puppet, dance.

I think Mick and Jaison have waited too long. Mick knows he should pull the trigger, but he can't do it. The only chance they have is if they can somehow pull Natalie to their side. If not Russel is winning this season.
I'm glad that Russel telling everyone his occupation has somewhat came back to haunt him. He should have kept that to himself.
Was this the first time Brett talked at tribal council? I didn't like that Laura was saying "stay strong" to him. They should make the jury leave first so they can't say things to people still in the game.

I think it was obvious that he wasn't going to do it though. If there was a plan before tribal to vote out Russel I would have still wrote his name down when he pulled out the idol. Even if he did use the idol Monica would have gone home anyways because all of Russel's votes would have been flushed out. They had nothing to lose. At this point I think Mick and Jaison really think that Russel wants to take them to the end, they shouldn't want to go to the end with Russel though. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Right.
I think some of the earlier talk/ruffling Russell earlier was to try and convince him to waste the idol even when nobody was voting for him. If they could flush it out with no risk, bonus for them.

Maybe that was just me trying to stack the deck for Russell (in my mind), clearly the most deserving Survivor this year and, without a doubt, one of the best in the 8 or 9 seasons I've seen.
Natalie's best plan would probably be to side with Jaison and Mick once they get rid of Brett. On the other hand, she may realise that this move would put her in the minority, so...
Is she better off in a two person alliance and Russell's bum-girl or in a 3 person alliance in which she's the odd person out.
On a side note, never in my life have I seen a person who looked as athletic as Jaison perform so poorly in every single physical challenge. He would have lost the rope challenge if he hadn't had the advantage. Kid's got an ego on him, too.

I think there will be a final 3 this season which means it doesn't matter if she is the minority in a 3 person alliance with Jaison and Mick. There would be 9 people in the jury with a final 3, and 10 with a final 2.
Being on Survivor takes a toll on some people more than others. Remember that episode where it didn't stop raining for like 4 days straight and Jaison almost wanted to quit. The game has been hard on him. It is hard to prepare for something so draining like Survivor, even if you are a star athlete. But I agree with expecting more out of him. I know a lot of D1 water polo players and they are the most athletic people I know.

Next season they should make this change. When a player gets voted off and becomes a jury member, that player must declare who they wouldn't vote for to receive the million. If the player changes their mind in the final tribal council and actually wants to vote for that person, the vote only counts as half?
something like that to throw in another wrinkle.

he's 5 months but he's way ahead of every curve (especially size wise, he's the size of an average 8 month old) and has been sleeping without a swaddle for a few weeks after he turned himself completely over while swaddled.
