I don't know, I think the worst move in survivor history was James from China. He had BOTH idols, told everyone he had them and then never played them and was voted out in like 6th or 7th. Once everyone knows you have them and you were physically the strongest competitor that season that put a pretty big target on him.

Sucks Russell wasted his immunity idol but you can't risk being the idiot survivor to get voted out with it in your pocket.

And, although it wasn't the worst move, if Russell could do math on the fly and could read people like he says he can, he would have known not to play his idol.

Even pre-spew, he was likely gone...He flushed the Russell idol out, so good work on that, but the blind-side worked reaaaaaal good. I'm kind of torn, never thought I'd cheer for shambo but she has to make the full switch to keep russell & his crew in the game. However, if she goes next week I win my bet although that seems to be very unlikely unless her old alliance feels betrayed.

Russell may already be the best survivor ever. And if you're still in the game, can you ever let him out of your sight to go alone anywhere without being paranoid about him finding another idol? I love that Probst already told them the idol was back in play.

Ok, since nobody mentioned it, I will. I get that Russell has used a common hatred of Laura to cement his relationship with Shambo, but once she won immunity, why target Kelly? Really?

She is stronger than Monica in comparison, but if you're going to use an idol and blindside someone of your choosing, why not take out someone a little stronger like John, Dave, or Brett? Or is Shambo still under the impression that she's only an outcast with the ladies (Monica, Laura, Kelly) and is still good with the guys so she was only targeting the women?

I just finished watching and I'm so pumped. It looked for a second like Dave was grinning because they had a backup plan, especially after they discussed it !! Smart to have Shambo vote with them so as not to out her.

What a ridiculous episodeeeeeeee! One of the best. Really wanted Laura gone again. Russell probably could have knocked her out of that challenge, but he got a little cocky as soon as he snagged the bag and didnt rush it back at first then it was too late.

My boy Dave is certainly going to get some backlash for not even considering that Russell could have had the idol after that idea was brought up.

Even if Shambo stayed loyal (as she did) they were only in a 7:4 advantage. If the "Russell 4" stay loyal you can't split and have enough for a back-up plan that works. They still need 5 solid (perhaps 6 if you don't trust Shambo) to counter the "Russell 4". The only other option was to flush out the idol by keeping Shambo ignorant (redundancy) and not actually voting for Russell.
