Sorry Mike, I feel your pain. I tended the baby right up to 8:10pm - passed him over to the wife and than went and ranked the players just before the draft. Like usual it only lasted 30min, we were done by 9pm.

I personally feel that there were some people that fell all the way to picks 16-20 that have a shot at winning. Erik at pick #6 was probably the steal of the draft.

This was one of the harder group of people to rank because there weren't as many for sure losers. Not even a real granny to throw out first.

I agree, 20 players is a lot especially when they go for looks over brains. I'm very surprised I got Erik (my #1 pick).

It took me quite a while to decide to put Jaison in front of him... and I did it because I figured that he would at least get 3rd... and Erik might be too good and kicked out earlier. But I definitely think that Erik has at least a 50% better chance of winning the whole thing than Jaison since: he's not black.

It's funny, because until she said that to Russell she wasn't interesting to me... but after, she seemed amazingly cool and really smart. It's a real shame that she got booted first.

Lots of titties this season, and we lost 2 of them. I think my African princess will be safe in the purple tribe for awhile, she seemed to do well in both challenges.

I don't see how an older lady who was on the puzzle portion of the challenge could call another girl weak who had to do the physical portion. People were throwing each other under the bus without thinking things through. The yellow tribe just seems really retarded, and I'm not suprised that Russel was able to manipulate everyone so easily.

Did that guy really swim with his pants and shoes on? Was anybody shocked that Jaison was a water polo player and good swimmer? I was for obvious reasons lol.

Wow a lot to digest in 1 episode. This is actually setting up to be a better survivor than I had thought.

I hate how everyone just buckles down and allows someone to tell them who to vote for for the first couple weeks. It happens every year and nearly every season someone with potential goes home first because ppl try to make moves waaaaay too early in the game. Is is just too logical to vote off the weak to start the game?

People who stood out

Russel H - Total asshat, sorry you got stuck with him untitled because once the muscle isn't needed I think they'll be sending him home, I had him ranked second last because of the videos on the site.

Ben - Just as much if not more off a jerk imo. He's just throwing completely unnecessary comments left and right, I think he'll be Russel's little bitch for the first while.

Marisa - She was hot, had some brains and I think she was one of the best female players of this season. It's a shame she was voted out.

Mick - Guy looked great first ep, he seems very smart and physically fit.

Jaison - Just like Mick, I think those 2 will work well together in challenges.

Shambo - It's going to take some hard work at challenges, around camp and some better social skills to further herself in the game. It kind of looked like she was on the outside looking in as I had predicted. It's looking good on my side bet with hblask.

Erik - My guy in the pool. Hard to really talk about anyone in the purple tribe because they are winners and got little air time. However, he really gave it his all when he had lift the heavy blocks in the opening challenge. He's not hercules but he's definitely a very strong physical player and looked great what I saw. I'm glad he wasn't picked to be the leader of the team.

John - Looked the worst for wear this weak both physically and socially for the purple tribe. He got picked to do the swimming challenge and wore his.... jeans. wtf? I'm surprised people in his tribe didn't tell him to drop the pants before hand unless it was edited. Also, he started to show his brain power a little too early for 9 others to handle. Just let them build a damn shelter.

Russell S - He definitely surprised me the most. He seems like a very good leader for the purple tribe and he fits right in with the young crowd. He also looks very strong physically.

Definitely looking forward to next week.

That was hilarious. I don't think "intelligent" and "mullet" have ever been associated with one another.

I have to say I loved the selection aspect of the first challenge, they should do more challenges where the tribes have to nominate individual members to do certain aspects of the challenge. It would reward tribes for getting to know one another and observing one another's strengths and weaknesses. Or, even more interesting: have the tribes nominate players on the opposite tribe to perform certain tasks...

I didn't like it that they voted for leaders though, I think having a leader on your tribe is so overrated in the game. If someone isn't going to pull their weight around camp and in challenges, a leader is most likely not going to change anything. If it was a normal survival situation it is ok to have a leader, but this is a game show and leaders get targets put on their backs (most of the time).

Imagine how much it would suck if your raft with your tribe finally gets to the island, your there for 2 minutes and you get voted in as leader. That would piss me off.

I think they did the Leader vote to stir to shake things up from the start, knowing it would put a target on someone's back.

Also, I thin Marisa got voted off because she pronounces her name "MarEEsa". Everyone hates people who stress incorrect syllables
