Hey Adam, I registered, but my men's league hockey starts on the 20th, so I could potentially have a game during the draft. I'll find out this weekend, if I do, I'll have to give up my spot to someone else. I'll let you know the second I know.

If you recall he owned an OHL team and he refused to draft any Europeans, i think his team had the worst ever record in the OHL.

While I dont like Ottawa,Montreal or Pittsburgh players, my theory of never drafting them is out the window. If the pick warrants it i will draft them..

Am I just unable to find it or is it not possible to see the players ranked "nicely" either by last year's stats or this years?

1. you can go to free agents
a. it gives the 2010 projections but there's no composite rank of all the stats to order them. they are ordered alphabetically by % owned. also, it doesn't show all our categories here.
b. it also gives the 2009 stats but again there's no composite rank. this one does show every category though.


I realize a composite rank is not always the best way to rank for drafting purposes but it certainly is quite helpful.


2. you can go to player rater which apparently has the composite rank but no actual stats on the page. it shows Shawn Horcoff as being the best player so I'm skeptical of its validity. plus the amount it skews the rank for the center position is an obvious mistake.

I don't see any kind of official ranking the way Yahoo does it, but you can sort by category giving you the leaders for any stat you're interested in. Additionally, clicking the 2010 projections tab seems to rank the players the same way most other agencies have them ranked, there just aren't any numbers:

I needed a unique number that couldn't be used to identify me in any way (like a birthdate, address or SSN#) many years ago to use on forums and for email addy's, so I picked up my Ibanez bass and looked at the serial number, which ends in 510. The rest is history.

adam, i just got notice from work that i got an 8am conf call with my VP the day after so i dont think i am gonna be able to make the draft. the draft is pretty much the highlight of these leagues for me so i think i am gonna have to drop out. if you cant get any one to fill the spot then i can auto rank and hope for the best but if you are able to fill the spot then that'd probably be preferable.

Just found out I cannot make the draft. I have a music theory paper due at 8pm, then will be being a DJ from 9-12. I have registered my team but not shipped the money yet, Adam.
As is the case, if anyone wants to take my spot (Strat?) it is open. I don't want to be trying to manage a team full of pre-rankers.
