Full Version: Unreal The Beats Im Taking Today...

I have been doing my regular SNG's today and yesterday and have been experiencing some of the worst downswings and beats I have ever delt with.

EX:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 1.2 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG (t4419)
UTG+1 (t12860)
MP1 (t1015)
MP2 (t1660)
CO (t2455)
Button (t9475)
SB (t4511)
Hero (BB) (t4105)

Hero's M: 13.68

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2, A
6 folds, SB calls t100, Hero checks

Flop: (t400) 2, A, A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: (t400) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (t400) Q (2 players)
SB bets t800, Hero raises to t3905 (All-In), SB calls t3105

Total pot: t8210

3 occasions I have been called where I had AA or KK, pushed on the flop and beaten by runner runner for a straight or a flush... I am really getting fustrated and down on myself..

When you slowplay stuff they will catch up some of the time. Just accept it and move on.
SGFULTON83

It happens to us all, keep a positive attitude and crush the next donk in line.

That's the rub of grinding sng's as I've been finding out the more I play them. Just keep you're head up, and, as said, don't slowplay. Quit for the day if you're getting too frustrated, they'll still be running when you're ready to play.
DRMvP23
Well i turned it around as of late thankfully. I just had a run for alil while where everything seemed like it was against me but thats the swing of variances i guess.
Shit happens.
Nashtak
Slowplay in latter position twice in a row? Why? The guy wasn't gonna fold any ace anyway but still.
rrumsey
this is why i almost always hate slowplaying because shit like this happens and makes me wanna kill small babies

He was beaten by either A3 or AQ so slowplaying wasn't the cause. It just wasn't the best way to get all the money in with the nut.

It's happened to me all day today.

I must have had 5 KO's in my 8 table session when I was 70% fav. I know though in the long run these plays are profitable, hence my sharkscope. I try not to let it get to me, after all, its stuff like this happening that make the fish think they are making the right plays. Take it with a pinch of salt and come back stronger. If it really affects you negatively, take a break as advised earlier.

Do you go through threads looking for people who are bitching about bad beats and then post yours as well?

Good lord this thread is nearly a month old and you find it to bitch. Well done.

I came across this whilst browsing not knowing how old this thread was. I was simply offering advice and making him feel like it the world is not against him and it happens to us all. Why don't you crawl back from where you came from, idiot.
