I think it looks fine. This is definitely a hand I would play for two bets on the button. I would not raise the flop either because I would want SB still in. Ideally, SB would stay in or even 3bet.

You want as many players in the pot as possible also getting the most money in the middle. If SB 3bet and everyone called, I would cap it on the button and hope for everyone to call again.

you have several choices, most of them seem stylistic to me.

you can 3 bet preflop.

you can 3 bet the flop.

or you can play it how you did.

what shark wrote regrading relative position to the preflop raiser according to the other players in the pot is something to really consider.

So Should I have done what shark said on the turn after turning the nuts? I didn't b/c I didn't want to scare anyone off before the river. But with all the action I figured someone would cap the turn w/o my help. I guess maybe I should have.
...and this is NOT a brag post, but a 38.5 BB pot for a 6 handed table is pretty nice.

yes, multiway someone will call (your only raising it to .80 in what a $3+ pot, not creating much fear at a microstakes table) and if an early one calls it gives odds to everyone else to call. When you hit the nuts in limit in a contested multiway pot i would just shovel money into the center ASAP, too many 2 pairs and sets pay you off. good win solid play pretty much i hate multiway limit hands but in this case it payed off very nicely

I cap the turn, first of all. If the guy is calling 40 cents or 60 cents or whatever, he's calling 20 cents more.

I generally 3-bet this flop. We've got great equity on a rainbow board, and a whole slew of customers. I think we have an edge to push here. For meta-game purposes, and purely for value, I play set or flopped two pair the same way.

hey guys thanks for the responses. I lost my roll b/c of the need to pay some bills and am trying to rebuild. I like SHLE a ;pt and may continue ro play even up in the higher limits (for me).
I don't think I played the hand bad but was just want to know where I should push harder. It's those extra bets we get in that really make us our money in LHE, so I thought this was a good example to start woyj.

I'll just chime in with one comment.

Raise the flop, you at most are going to lose one of the players and you have 8 outs to the nuts so you have a ton of equity. You don't want to only 3 bet with made hands from this position. Also it might buy you a free card on the turn if you miss.

I think raising the flop is a better choice over calling because if they were calling any bet on that street, micro players would call more.

Would you think that you can buy a free card 5 ways at a micro limit though?

You never know what might happen when you cold cap the flop. Other players might put you on a monster and check the turn to you or if they have a monster they might decide to be tricky and check raise you on the turn.

It's not the reason that we would be raising the flop but in some other situations it might be part of the reason to raise your button on the flop.
